The problem with using Hematite Golem is that it's relatively slow; there is low damage/quanta ratio. Hence, you definitely need to have some control to slow down the opponent.
It has comparatively high HP for an unupped creature, however, so you need fear damaging CC less. Of course, if you play PVP the opponent will realize this, see you using a fire/earth rush, realize you'll probably be running the very prone-to-damaging-CC Lava Golems, and save these CC cards until you play the Lava Golems... but the deck will not face this problem in AI3. Hopefully.
QI may be flawed in some aspects, but it works well for rush decks like this one. Rebalancing roughly according to QI and throwing in control cards for control and for the fun of it,

You can afford to strain quanta a bit if you don't need to play everything you draw as soon as possible, as is the case with control cards.
