Poor Phoenixes. Always the target of spite by every type of creature control that exists in the game. But what happens when you take advantage of this animosity? Well let's find out!

This is more of the rush variant. If you want a more controlling/stall variant, then you can try something like this:
There are two different approaches you can take here. You can either Mitosis the Minor Phoenix straight away, or you can Mitosis the Ash to give yourself a bit of protection from creature control (remember that using Mitosis on a Phoenix will take away its Rebirth ability, making it a fragile 1HP creature). If you want complete speed, Mito'ing the Phoenix and not the Ash is the way to go. Cremation allows you to make this choice much more easily instead of forcing yourself to wait for your opponent to kill your Phoenix before being able to Mitosis the Ash. The Brimstone Eaters allow for instant Cremation, instant play of Phoenixes on the second turn. Otherwise it'll be turn 3 before you can play your first bird. I tried inverting the Pend/Mark structure, but it either makes the deck completely unstable or leaves you producing way too much

and not enough

. Rage Elixirs are also multi-functional: They can either be used to take down threatening creatures (Otys, Maxwell's, Squids) or they can be used to turn your Ash into a 6/1 creature, a useful tactic for reaching finishing blows or for cases when you know the opponent can't kill your Ash.
This deck is not speedy, and I can honestly say that I have not received a game faster than 7TTW during my hours of testing. It also has very mixed results against Arena, so I cannot encourage its use in that atmosphere. Nevertheless, the deck is quite fun to play and could be a great surprise tactic in the right situation.
