Doesn't look fast enough. I'd trade some aether towers for fire towers or even pendulums. You aren't going to be spamming TU early, so you only need a few towers and they'll produce a bit each turn, giving enough by the time you need it. The main problem still would probably be that you won't draw enough TUs.
