Preface: A guantlet had been thrown down. The challenge? To build a deck using at least 50% Earth cards that could get a rare spin in at least three different Arena Leagues. I start at it with some ideas that had been kicking around in my head. I'd win here and there, even a couple times in a row from time to time, but never really having a shot at the spins. Every time I did, I came up against a PSNbow, or Immorush, or that friggin'
Nightmare of the Effing Past deck. I just couldn't deal with it, especially not being destroyed when given free creatures by Nightmare. So I set about to make a deck that could reasonably handle all three. My response? The

I wanted to strain as much of my opponent as possible. My start was Graboids and GotPs, both phenomenal attack-to-cost ratio creatures. Next up? I wanted to strain my opponents' quanta, so I naturally went for the Earthquakes. As a corollary to this, I threw in Reverse Times, as they would serve to not only further strain my opponents' quanta, but also they help to slow down a deck's drawing power. In addition to this, Reverse Time is also a great way to halt a PSNbow or Immorush in its tracks. My final touch, the Basilisk Bloods, were because there are simply times when rewinding a creature isn't enough (For instance; when facing a mono, where quanta tends to be plentiful even despite Earthquakes and anything you rewind ends up getting replayed immediately) and it is instead preferable to stop that creature in its tracks for a while while you beat the everlovingcrap out of him like he stole something from you.
Pros- Cheap creatures that hit very hard. The damage potential is outstanding.
- Strong against a variety of decks.
- Nightmare of the Past feeds right into this deck. Free creatures!
Cons- Fails hard against Phase Shield. This is one of the few places where the lack of PC really hurts.
- PSNbows can start off too fast for this deck to catch up, it is a very draw dependent matchup. However, if the PSNbow gets off to even a reasonably slow start, it is very winnable.
The nice thing about this deck is that although it is obviously very upgraded, it doesn't require any rares, so even people with a dearth (yeah, I said dearth) of rares can make this beast of a deck.
