Some say the world will end in Fire,
Some say in Ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor Fire.
But if I were to perish twice,
I think I know enough to hate
To say that for destruction Ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Believe it or not, it works pretty well (I took out a few t50 decks, and slaughtered AI3). The trick to this deck is to rely on the shields and Congeals to stall, while you use the Ice Lances on the larger creatures. Build the quanta for the Dragons (which, btw, are the only dragons that don't change their picture when upgraded), and then just spam them. Smart use of the Explosions along with the stalling spells can net you a victory. You won't get mastery, but meh, it's for PvP. XD

::NOTE::
Does not need to be upgraded, but it's more effective and fun that way. I love just watching my opponents sit there and sweat since their creatures can't attack or use abilities (poor Otys), meanwhile my dragons are stomping all over them. =)

As always, the decks I post are mostly to inspire others, and are not meant to really be taken seriously. I was trying out different Mono- and Duo-Element ideas, and when I find one that works, I'll keep using it and editing it, and then post the final result. ^_^

Have you tried it with 6 explosions? Having mark of Fire but only using 4 fire quantum seems like a waste to me. You could also take 1 Firestorm which would fit in nicely to this "Fire and Ice" theme.

I always liked this poem... It's "I think I know enough OF hate" though - the deck looks nice btw  ;)

I typed the poem from memory, so I wasn't sure if things were 100% accurate, but meh. =/

And lol, I'd go with Scaredgirl's idea. Take out two Dragons, add another Explosion and a Firestorm, and you'll be set. o-o

This looks like a painful deck to play against >.> How does the arctic squid's upgrade work instead of congeal?

Well, since Squids have to be won, and not bought, I wasn't able to use them in the trainer. Also, since it requires three Water Quanta to use it's ability, I find that using Congeals is better. You don't need to freeze every creature, just the threats (dragons, Anubis, Oty, Elf/Druid). With the number of dragons, you rarely have a lot of Water Quantum for the Squids unless you don't draw the dragons. And by the time you DO have plenty of extra, it's usually late game anyways. If you have one, add one and take out a Congeal, but I wouldn't add anymore than one. I can understand that it'll be useful sometimes, but it'll only slow down the deck and that is a big no-no. >:(  This deck has limited freezing ability. If you don't kill quickly, your freezes will run out and you'll be in T-R-O-U-B-L-E!

How about upgraded toadfish <-- Can never remember upgraded names. <--- Toadfish instead of dragons

Upgraded toadfish becomes a 2/3 with Venom. Dragons are faster.

Mark of Fire

I took Scaredgirl's advice and added another Explosion and a Firestorm. I think I could add another Firestorm and it'd work better.

Here's the deck in action.

It works pretty well against most standard Rainbow Deck builds. Earlier, I faced a Time/Earth deck with Graboids and Earthquakes, and was stopped dead, but other than that, it works beautifully, and would annoy anyone in PvP. =D

Looks pretty weak against plagues, and maybe paradox >.>

That's why the Demon is frozen. =D Note, this deck isn't meant to be "all powerful." Far from the fact, actually. I like to design theme decks, based on a specific idea or theme, but I also like them to work most of the time, too. This is probably the best you could get with a mostly Water deck that didn't rely on poison (this actually kills faster than Poison).
