The purpose of this deck is to boost the power of Gravity with some of the speed and permanent control of fire.  Gravity already has a synergy with Fire through the Firemasters, so that's where I started from.  As with most primary gravity decks, chargers are the main offense with being 7/5 unblockable.  But supplementing that are three firemasters fed by some burning towers and the fire mark.  Three otyughs cover creature control, with three gravity pulls to take down those creatures that are too tough for your oty, or in case your oty goes down.  Two Unstoppable are there to protect your firemasters in case a dangerous shield comes out, or to get a quick 6 HP otyugh to eat any 5 HP critters that come out.

On the fire side of things, 3 minor phoenix are there for fire support and for emergency oty chow if things get rough.  Three explosions are to provide some permanent control, which is one thing that gravity lacks.  Two shields are there for defense.  Gravity for growth and most dragons, and fire shield for those pesky quint'd creatures.

Is the fire buckler really useful? Your deck seems quite aggressive and has no healing so by the time fire buckler kills a quinted FFQ, quinted anubis or pharaoh, a morning glory or anything similar you would already win or lose. It might help against some smaller creatures like squids, druids or ulitharids, but still if they are quinted they have enough time to lobo a number of your creatures, while unquinted are oty chow or can be killed with firestorm.
May the force of the D4HK side be with U ^_^

I agree about the fire buckler.

How does the deck do with gravity quantum? Seems to be a bit low if you get chargers and otys early.

I think something like this would work a ton better for you:

Code: [Select]
744 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 745 745 745 745 745 745 749 74a 74b 74b 74b 74b 74e 74e 7dk 7dk 7dm 7dm 7dm 7dm
You can stick in +1 burning pillar, and maybe +1 phoenix, but generally trying to pull your deck in both directions allowing it to cast >5cc stuff one either side has the effect of slowing down both sides.  With my proposed deck, you'll be able to get those crucial Otys into play earlier, more reliably, and still win 'Oty wars' with unstoppable/lance, but without dedicating so many pillar slots to red.

I just went 26-3 with the version I posted (except -1 gravity tower, +1 burning tower) against the Top50 in the trainer.  That's a much better winrate than I've been getting with my current Top50 farmer (pillarless golem), but I'm sure some of that is just the power inherent in having an all-upgraded deck.

Many wins were because the AI is bad (for example, it pisses away point removal like it was its job).  If you played this PvP versus red rush decks, I think you'd win at best half the games, even though I went roughly 5-1 versus it today.

I won several games just exploding their land while they stalled.  Explosions were awesome, Lances were merely OK.

I didn't face any cockatrice-rush decks and only one rainbow rush deck today, so the gravity shield was 90% useless and could be replaced with just about anything else. But it did get me one LOL-I-deck-you win against a deck with 5 animated Eternity's that I otherwise had no outs against!

That's an alright deck but I feel it could do with some more concentrating.

I agree with others on the shields. Gravity Shield is quite useless and since you don't have a full 6 of any cards, it can be replaced. It could also backfire if it gets stolen and you have big Firemasters/Otys on the field.

Similarly, I would say Gravity Force (at least for killing opponent creatures) is also quite useless because your main attacking power comes from the Chargers who don't take advantage of it and there are Unstoppables which also make it useless. Generally a Gravity deck like this is a rush deck and you don't really want to get your damage blocked. Perhaps I'm just really biased against Gravity Force but I just don't like it. I feel it is only good against big and dangerous creatures like those with growth because the advantage Gravity Force has compared to other creature killing spells is that it lasts forever.

It could probably do with an extra Otyugh because from experience I like 1 Otyugh for every 10 cards.

I don't like Fire Storm. Generally your oty would do the job of killing and you only need a little help here and there for that. I think Fire Lance is good enough for that.

I like what danieldubois has proposed as an alternative but I like the touch of Phoenix for Oty chow as something more unique.

After some more experimentation today, if I had 50k electrum and was making a gravity/fire Top50 farming deck, I'd probably dump all the cards that weren't gravtower/charger/oty/firemaster/explosion, and replace them with black holes.  You get pretty much the same win rate, but with elemental masteries left and right.  There's just soooo much rainbow in the Top50, it's crazy.

I admit, I do have a tendency to put in contingencies for everything.

I like Gravity Force personally as a backup creature control for those times when the creature has too much HP or your Oty goes down.  The firemasters should fuel the non-momentum'd damage.  The Pheonixes are very cost effective when upgraded (2:1 cost ratio) and are hard to get rid of, and make good use of extra fire quanta, as you will have some extra lying around.

Personally, I like trying to have a use for both weapon/shield slots when I can (especially with immaterial creatures being so popular).  But dropping the shields probably would be a good idea, yes.

have a use for both weapon/shield slots
The counter argument to that is that by NOT having anything for the weapon/shield slot, you make their explosions and steals almost dead.
