Many Discord / Black Hole decks are upgraded, but this deck really shines in an unupgraded environment (as in opponent is unupped too)
The reason that Discord BH is so good, is that it quickly shuts down decks, while killing opponents reasonably fast.

This version of Discord BH attempts to consistently get a second turn discord for the lockdown.
there is an 75% chance of getting 3 or more pends on in your first 7 cards and 85% chance of getting 3 or more pends 
that is a roughly 75% chance of getting discord in your first turn + draw

That is equivalent to a roughly 60% chance of pure win, because second turn lockdown is too fast for many (unupped) decks.
The other 40% are struggles, which quite often result in a win anyways.

protip: if you get two pendulums (and have the discord in your hand) you can choose (you usually shouldn't) to hold onto the cards because there is a slightly greater than 50% chance you will get the last pendulum.

this one focuses on gravity, getting a 3rd or 4th turn discord (thats not good enough,  for example he lost the match that this happened in)

That deck plays out more like grabbix than a control deck
It is quite fast, but it doesn't lock the opponent
It is quite a novelty though as it is pillarless,
and it would be hard to lockdown with it, but easy to rush.

Yeah, this is one of the decks I used quite a bit en route to fifth place in BL. The version I used was based off Dragords though (an upped deck), with purple dragons and momentums. It was slower and more prone to being outrushed than yours seems to be however

The extra discords are there for draw redundancy. If you don't get one early the strategy is much less effective.

And animate weapons would only work for upped play - working this into a trio is difficult.

i know the multiple discords are to get a better chance and would mean the upped but if were to only be unnupped it would be a bad idea

This deck was really made for tournaments and pvp events (most of which are unupped), because without thinking or even replaying a match I would put the ttw at 10ish, which is not good for grinding pve. It also cannot handle AI5 or FG at all, because of the draw rate and immense quanta generation from mark

but animate weapons are not very useful, as after the 4 discords, 6 BH.  and 14 pendulums. The next goal is to pack as much much damage as possible into the remaining 6 cards. Flying weapons are cheap, but they only deal 4, as opposed to upgraded chargers, or abominations and dragons.

The Discord/Black Hole combo is really effective and i like the versions which are posted on this topic.

I liked the topic, hence i'm hijacking the thread. Here is my version that i use to farm ai3 / ai4 for fun. Fast damage output with chaos powered chargers, harder blackhole spam with nymphs if the game drags.
