if you couldnt already tell, shard of patience has quickly become my favorite card (mostly because of all the synergy it has with many of the elements)
the play style is, as always, simple
drop guards before antlions
drop SoP asap
use squid for any airborne creatures
murder opponent's field while giants are growing under ground

see? simple

I was expecting a worse Frogtal with Silences. Welp, yeah, this is simple. Personally I tend to pack more Tridents and healing to have -any- kind of chance against Dims or invulnerable critters. Ice Shield is really cool too.

i would have packed 2, maybe 3, tridents, but i only have 1 at the moment. ice shield is nice, but it's costly and i wouldnt be able to get it out soon enough to make a difference without sacrificing some earth cards

Consider swapping some Pillars for Gnomes. While they'll slow you down initially, they will eventually become contributors to your offence via Shard of Patience.

I also think a 4th Shard of Patience would be good.

Aha I see. That makes sense. Good luck getting another one!

In the meantime, just a thought, why did you choose to name this "Silent" Guards? I might have called it "Patient Guards" though that doesn't sound particularly menacing!

This is a deck I've used in league play before that bears a strong resemblance to this.  It takes longer to build up the damage than yours (as burrowing/unburrowing the antlions will essentially get +4 damage/turn on them) but it has more of some of the other cards, and the gnomes for extra quanta as well as extra creatures for your shard of patience.  I'd thought about the stoneskin as well, but I found I didn't usually have enough quanta to do it in my version, and I went with purifies instead, though yours produces considerably more earth quanta than mine, so it will probably be more useful in your version.

edit: actually inserted the deck code; looks kind of stupid to discuss it otherwise

the reason i didnt go with "patient guards" is because it sounds like they're guarding hospitol patients (not to mention im not sure if there's a difference in spelling and cibs doing the tiny bit of research to find out)
