A darkness deck without Pests?! Madness! The reason I've chosen to do this is because I want to focus this deck on hidden damage and not get distracted with typical Pest quanta denial. The pests do not fly, so would not evade shields or deal extra damage, and they'd just slow me down early game. I want to keep a 30 card deck but I also want to have lots and lots of damage to dish out, I can not lower my tower count as it's already strained, so pests just can't coexist with this deck.
Ok! The plan here is to utilize the powerful flying Vampire and Gargoyle cards with the Shard of Freedom.
This synergy worked even better than I first imagined as the cloaks are the perfect thing to protect the PC vulnerable shards and the CC vulnerable creatures (Remember, only air creatures get the evade chance from the shards!)
The eclipses serve as a relatively cheap damage boost for our already powerful creatures, and also as some extra PC bait should the cloaks fail to protect me completely.
The vamp dagger is a none essential card that is some cheap damage and healing, it has some protection via the cloaks and can act as extra PC bait if it comes to it.
Please let me know what you think of the deck and any suggestions you have for improvements or amendments. (This build is -1gargoyle -1cloak +2towers from the initial design thanks to some advice from BeefSupreme over in the deck help thread.)
