Just a quick deck I came up with while at work during some downtime.

I scrolled through as best I could and I didn't see anyone else post a deck similar and the wiki page only post one sentence on the combo, so I thought I would give it a go.

Basically it's just two cards. mitosis and SoR. And though they are just two cards they, in a similar way to GotP and nightmare, open up several other synergies between the two elements; Now Anubis has something to make immortal and it can be hard to kill a whole army of dragons so empathic bond has got some staying power.

Basic combo: Play dragon plus mitosis then SoR on the same turn and get 3 dragons for the price of 1.

Anubis: Use him plus SoR to protect your dragon with mitosis.
Procrastinate: this deck biggest weakness is setup time so anything to slow your opponent down is killer; this card is probably the best in most situations.
Eternity: actually not sure if it's worth it because of its cost but a nice card none the less, might be better to run a singular reverse time though.
Empathic bond: not so important against decks with lower life but can help secure a victory against stronger stall oriented decks or higher hp.

I'm posting it as an unupped deck, though I'm using a partially upped version at the moment, just to show that it works without upgrades. That being said the upgraded version of your dragons is unreal, from ten damage to thirteen and sense you will get three dragons out at once that is an instant 39 damage as opposed to 30. Also upgrading the SoR are worthwhile for their cost. ok, ok. Obviously the deck is better upgraded but it still works in a non-upped form. the combo still works and is still very powerful and while we're on the note of upgrading, a fully upgraded version of this deck is still very much as good as this deck is to other non-upped decks.

tell me what you think.

P.S. I'm planning some more decks that are more style oriented (not so much competitive by any means but trying to fit a role, think rpg). a good example is a deck I have already posted called the wizard deck, because you feel like a wizard when you play it. now I want to make a witch deck, a necromancer deck, a druid deck and an alchemist deck (this is just what I've thought is doable at the moment, although I'm having loads of issues with the witch deck). Any other deck ideas would be nice or ideas about any of the decks I have not made yet would be cool too. Keep in mind that I'm talking about decks that make you feel like a archetypal character or role.

Ghosts would quite possibly be all around better, since you get a quicker initial start. Needing to use 9 quanta as opposed to 13 means you could quite possibly get that a turn earlier, and not need more quanta at all.

I was thinking about this too although I haven't really looked at the numbers to see how they compare. let me get back to you later today.

ok so, yeah. You were right it is better to use GotP and not just because of their cost but also because of the cost of mitosis. Ie. sometimes it doesn't matter the cost of the dragons versus the ghost because it takes so long to get a mitosis for the combo. By running ghost over dragons it allows the deck to run 5 pendulums and 7 pillars as opposed to its current 4, 8 split (more pendulums equals more mitosis). And if you get GotP out one turn sooner than dragons then it doesn't matter their lower damage because they'll still deal as much as dragons would by the end of the game. And I just think it makes the deck feel a little more comfortable to play and the rest of the cards in the deck feel more affordable. In other words, you don't feel like your having to give as much up to play them where as with dragons you may think, "well, I have to play this procrastinate now so they don't beat me in the long run but that means my combo is going on hold for at least 1 and probably 2 turns."

Sometimes I envy people whose decks can use the intended strategy despite being all unupped. My deck can't do that because... it contains Puffer Fish.

Also, sorry if this doesn't make you feel like an archetypal character or role, but how about an Egyptian deck? There are Mummy, Pharaoh, Scarab, Anubis, and Dune Scorpion.

I doubt they all can fit into the same role or even the same deck. Pharaohs are fine but Anubis and Dune are just too .. different to be in the same deck. Scorp has a higher chance to fit in because of momentum but putting 2 deck archetypes in 1 duo/trio is too unstable nor effective.

In regards towards your "necromancer" deck, you might want to think about a deck involving Poison, Afflatoxin, Skull Buckler, Graveyard and Plague. The general idea of it is to use Poison for damage, Afflatoxin on your enemies creature to fill his field with Malignant Cells, Skull Buckler for the 1 damage reduction so the cells cannot hit you, and the Graveyard + Plague combo to mass produce Skeletons for your side.

I think necromancer as a :darkness too so my two cents would be nightfall + deathstalkers + dusk mantle/skull buckler + drain life + poison + cloak

actually my thought on a necromancer deck was to try and make a time/death deck based on turning mummies to pharaohs and skeletons to all sorts of stuff. the problem is idk how to make it actually good. or at least good enough to farm bronze with. That's my ultimate goal. I'm assuming a lot of these weird quirky decks would be hard enough to be very successful at gold and platinum or false gods so if I cant get them strong enough to farm bronze at least mildly well then I'll have fun with them.

Gone a little off-topic, no? (Anubis-DuneScorps-SoW?) :D

Plz share your GotP version ^_^

Here's what I put together.

- Jade Staff > Empathic Bond, cheaper and faster healing.
- Reverse Time > Procrastination, again cheaper. Plus I removed Anubis so need some kind of CC.
- No Anubis or Eternity, too pricey for my liking.

Oh! not a bad version; it's quick. If you could upgrade one card though I would upgrade though, I would upgrade procrastinate to turtle shield and stick it in there for one less druidic staff. and then I suppose its up to the player if they want empathic bond or druidic staff. mine would look like.

If you're looking to not upgrade anything then I would take out turtle shield and add a druidic staff or another reverse time or even an Anubis.
