anti rainbow deck -- gravity/earth https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=5839.msg59847#msg59847

sometimes you encounter alot of rainbowdecks in t50 or pvp.
in this case im using this deck:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
744 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 745 745 745 745 745 74b 74b 74f 74f 74f 74f 74f 74f 74o 77f 77f 77j 77j 77j 77j 8pm

its slow but deadly against rainbows.
just control your opponent with black hole/quicksand untill you can play pulverizer/othy/chargers.

edit: i put in the nymph cause it fits perfect in this deck. if you dont have any replace it with another black whole

-1 earth pillar
+ 1 oty ->simple is better

edit2: more tweaking:
+1 Quicksand
+1 Gravity Pillar
-1 Heavy Armor (not really necessary in this deck)
-1 Elite Charger

This would be a nasty deck for a FG, like dark matter and seism combined or something, scary *shivers*

It's very hard to find Top50 decks that are not rainbows to test against!

As such, I cant decide whether I like:
1) the splash for earth, as you've done, or
2) a six-explosion splash, or
3) a discord/chaos power splash

The latter seems super fun and powerful, and discord seems like could make the matchup against non-rainbows solid, but since 90% of the decks in the top50 are rainbow, I have no idea what's best.

discord gives you more chances againts mono/duo-decks, but is usless and sometimes dangerous against rainbows.

quicksand > explosion for pillar destruction.
and a pulverizer gives you unlimited perm control.

i would say for perm control, earth=efficient fire=speed

if you go for fire i recommend The Anti Speed Rainbow Deck (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,4931.0.html) from icybraker

edit: removed a stupid deck idea from me, here

the first ones better to me personnaly because with quicksand u can destroy all the pillars/towers, whiles with explosions, it's one at a time. Also if you destroy all the pillars/towers with quicksand, u can destroy everything else with pulvy

Is the earth mark enough to supply the quicksands and pulverizers? It's only one quanta per turn, and you'll need a max of 5 turns to throw out a pulverizer.

I dont think you need more then one pulvy. Id say take one out put another armor since its cheaper. Since the quicksands are cheap im sure the mark can supplyy it. just not all at once. Then again two could work just because it would be most lovley to get one early and should it be destroyed or stolen your still alright.
I decided to "drop" back in

Problem is you won't get your pulvy out early enough and it takes way to long to replace it. Every Rainbow has permanent steals or destroys and i often find my weapon immediately destroyed or stolen when i play it. :-(
So you COULD add an EA, but this would slow pulvy by another turn....

Maybe make it a duo deck with earth, add some earth towers and other stuff...but this ruins the whole Gravity Idea...

its a slow deck. with black hole spam and quicksand you can easy stall any rainbow till turn 7-10.
then you are able to get out the pulverizer, the nymph, othy, or your charger army.

i use the pulverizer mostly for shard control, or a midgame pillar controll if i encounter a deck with alot of quantum towers (15+). thats why i have 2 pulvis in my deck. i want to have one out in the midgame.

i lost a pulverizer just about 1-2 times per 100 games, because i was able to controll the opponents quantum. only the supernovas give them the posibility to draw something out.
(if a rainbow would have deflag/explosion this could be possible, but none of the common rainbows are using this).

and even if he could steal it, he didnt had the quantum to use it :P

im more thinking about replacing the othys with gravity pillars, another quicksand/black hole. othys seems a bit useless since every rainbow is using quint.

ur fueling 6 gravitons with ur mark? thats not faster

Although not necessarily a better counter to the Super Nova rush decks that are so popular this I think is a much better start for people looking for a counter to SNs.

I say this because this deck can actually still handle its own against non rush decks where as Icybrakers gravity/fire deck is completely useless against anything other than SNs.
