Well, what if you had Eclipse? 10 Devourers would give you 10 damage, which is equal to a Black Dragon. 20 Devourers? 20 damage. It gets better with Nightfall, but it seems like you don't have upped cards. Facing a fire shield or Thorn Carapace? What the heck - just don't play your Eclipse!! Discard it, even, if you have the chance.
