I played around today with an aether/fire deck to grind the top50. My first deck I worked on was aether/dark but it bores me to tears now, so I wanted to find something that used my upgraded aether cards. I ended up with a 42 card deck after a couple losses decking out.

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f2 5f2 5f2 5f2 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f6 5f6 5f6 5f6 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61q 61q 61q 61q 61t 61t 61t 61v 61v 61v 808 808 808 80d 80e 80f 8pu

The idea is to use the deflags/firebolts/lightnings/shields/electrocutor for control and dragons for the kill, with lightning/firebolt as backup kill. Lots of fun, has trouble against poison (try to kill fast) and massed critters (throw in fire shield/the 3dmg to all critters fire card) but good against most rainbow and mono decks. It works with Mark of Fire as well, just swap 2 burning towers for aether.

Sounds pretty good. I wanted to do something like this with my fire deck because I was tired of my low hp cards (Crimson Dragon, Fire Spirit) dieing and I wanted to add Quintessence to make them immortal. I was wondering if this deck has been working for you or not because it seems like a good idea.

Also, add pictures!

The "Guest" bit indicates that nazlfrag isn't a member of this forum, so I wouldn't expect a reply or pictures from them.
(This thread was imported from the old forum, like everything else posted before Dec 17. Guests can't normally post.)

You could still get a reply from someone else though. All I can say is that a 43 card deck with no hastening doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

I agree with Delreich... too susceptible to bad draws.
