You are right, but my point is that he doesn't fight back all that much after you get it established, unlike some of the FGs who can power through your defenses even after you get set up sometimes.  For example, Elidnis (an easy win most of the time for me) once chewed through all my defenses after I had a 50+ bonewall set up.  He had 6 invincible guys, 2 of them were quinted forest spirits that had both gotten above 30 attack, and I just couldn't manage to kill him before those baddies eventually crashed through the bonewall and killed me.  Dream Catcher, however, can't really do anything once you get control. If you can get control, that is.

Dreamcatcher feels like a roulette deck.

In many cases, if you can set up quickly before he fires up any amount of SuperNovas and doesn't draw a BE that early, you should be fine.

He is quite fast if he gets the right cards. You just need to be faster if he gets a good hand. Once he gets something with BE+Quint, it's close to game over.

A Phraoh deck is good vs dream catcher as you can eat more than one at a time and they have low health.

So the OP deck image is lacking in nymphs.  Can someone post an updated Dream Catcher deck image?

Mhm.  Momentum was also added to Osiris.

I think Zanz has been noticing some of the flaws in these decks.

Not that hard, you just need to get the right cards, didn't even use a shield in this match at all:

Okay. Here's my first match against Mr. Catcher.

We both had a slow start, but mine was worse. While I was grasping for towers and left Supernova-less, Dream Catcher fumbled for the first couple of turns before starting a measly offensive of a quinted Micro Abomination, 2 spent Elite Deja Vus, a burrowed Pest, and a Physalia. I still do not have enough quanta to do anything. I set up a Bonewall and Fire Storm and attempt to play a Druid, only to watch it die. I still have Shards. We're still both at full health, relatively slow on both sides.

And then he plays a Black Hole on my still-struggling quanta pool. And then Butterfly Effect on an Abomination. NOW, with the stupid Devourer taking my :entropy, I get my Supernovas. I'm forced to start discarding - I discarded four times. I get a quinted Otyugh out, but I don't have enough :gravity to support him after I get Quicksanded. I start dying a slow and painful death.

So, all in all; he's not all that difficult. I'm confident that with a better start, I could've beat him. The reason I lost was deckout. Nothing more, nothing less. I was sustaining myself, but I was forced to discard my Eternity. He was at 104 health and I was at 50 something and not going down rapidly when I decked out.
This is exactly what happened to me...I would have annialted him... had everything set that in a normal battle I would dominate... but I didnt because I didnt have the quanta to do anything... It ended in me decking out...
This sig was interrupted by Joe Biden

Almost won with EM, but my shards were too slow.
Very easy for me, as he didnt get any novas out until I had a quinted Otyugh, Firefly Queen and Fellen Druid. As soon as he got the novas I saw how he could be potentially difficult, going for my anubis and some mutations, but by that point it was too late.

I recommend a Fire Buckler for this, or a carpace shield to kill those Minor Abominations.
PA your Fire Buckler, and those things dies in 4 turns. therefore at most only 3 artifacts destroyed per BE.

(Almost won an upgraded relic...???)

Seems this god's difficulty depends a lot on luck. Sometimes he's too easy to even be called a FG, other times he's just impossible. In one of my games against him, he had a micro abomination on the first turn, BE'd it on the second, quicksanded my pillars on the third, quinted his abomination and drained the little quanta I had with black hole on the fourth turn. I quit after that.

I made some adjustments to my standard anti-FG rainbow, and it seems to work well.

Code: [Select]
52n 592 592 592 592 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 71b 71b 74a 74b 74b 74b 7am 7do 7gp 7k2 7n3 7q4 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q8 7t9 80h 80h 80h
Notes:
  • I usually run a Time rainbow, which has more Quantum Towers and no Supernovas. The Supernovas are good against early quantum control.
  • 4 Enchant Artifacts: up from 2.
  • 3 Elite Otyughs: 1 more than usual, replacing a Fallen Druid.
  • You can take out the Unstoppable. I have it in there to use against decks with anti-creature-effect shields, but that's not an issue here.
  • Removed Elite Sundials, added 1 Improved Miracle. Most temporary permanents aren't worth keeping; you aren't going to protect them, so they get destroyed. Also removed Phase Shields for the same reason.
