1. HOW TO SIGN UP?Anyone with a forum account can sign up for this event. Start by reading the rules very carefully. Then sign up by posting on a separate sign up topic. If you cannot find a sign up topic, or if it is locked, this event is not currently active, and you will have to wait for it to restart.
For
Draft III: Double Drafting players will be grouped into three man teams. Once you have a team of three people, one of you must post in the Sign Up thread with the forum name for each member and team name chosen from one of the Presidents of the United States of America.
Players who do not have a team may sign-up in the Substitute thread where they will be randomly paired with teammates or listed as substitutes to replace players who can no longer compete. Full teams created in the Sign Up thread will be given precedence over teams created with substitutes.
Draft III: Double Drafting will have a maximum of 12 teams with 36 players total, so if there are 10 full teams in the Sign Up thread and 8 players in the Substitute thread, 6 of those players will be assigned to teams and 2 will be substitutes.
2. CARD DRAFTINGTeams will be randomly split into one of two parallel drafts hereby named
A and
B. These two drafts will function separately from each other during the card drafting.
In each draft initial order is determined randomly. Teams have 12 hours to make their pick. So long as the next team hasn't made their choice you may edit your post to change a pick. Deleting your post is not allowed. If 12h has passed since the last pick was made, the next team may take their turn and the delinquent team may draft their card when they show up. Once a card is drafted, only that team will have access to it for the remainder of the event. Cards undrafted will be available only to teams in the draft they went undrafted in (A or B).
Pillars and Pendulums are unavailable for drafting.
Unupgraded.
Shards are banned.
Nymphs are banned.
3. PLAYMatches will consist of an
Opening Round, a
Group Round and an
Elimination Tournament. Each player will be randomly matched against players from other teams in the corresponding rounds. You're allowed to sub for a team mate twice per round.
In the
Opening Round teams will be matched against the other teams in their side of the draft. In the
Group Round each team will be matched against each other team, across both sides of the the draft. After this round teams are ranked first by wins, then by games won with any ties settled by a playoff match. The top eight teams are seeded in the
Elimination Tournament.
4. DUELSDuels will be best-of-5.
The only cards you can use are the ones drafted by your team and any cards undrafted on your side of the draft (A or B). You may change your deck inbetween games in a match.
It's a good idea to either record the matches, or take screenshots as proof, in case something weird, like a desync error, happens. Remember, a player who gets caught cheating, will be permanently banned from all Elements community PvP events, so please play fair.
5. AFTER DUELSAll players must submit their results in the thread for that round of play.
6. WINNERThe last team standing will be crowned the winners of
Draft III: Double Drafting.
7. REWARDSThe team members will receive the
Draft III: Double Drafting Winners award
and be enshrined on the Kravian Cup in the Drafting Hall of Fame.
