For
Draft IV Players will be divided as evenly as possible into 10 teams. The opening post of the Sign Up thread will list how many people you'll need on your team. Keep in mind, this may change if enough people sign up.
CARD DRAFTINGAll cards will be drafted. (Shards, Nymphs, and Mark cards are banned)
- There will also be quite a few 'upgrade packs' with various upgrade amounts. During matches you'll be able to use these packs to upgrade cards your decks. [e.g. UPGRADE(5) or UPGRADE(7) ~ these packs cannot be separated, when you use them in a deck, you must use all of them] (See DECKBUILDING & MATCHES below for more details)
Starting with the 6th round, it will be 2 cards per round.
Starting with the 10th round, it will be 3 cards per round.
All teams start with 100 drafting points.
All teams put in an offer for a card. (e.g. Fractal - 90 points)
Draft selection will be done in point order.
- If the card you selected hasn't been drafted, you receive that card and the point amount you submitted is subtracted from your total.
- If the card you selected has already been drafted, you do not receive a card and the point amount you submitted is added to your total.
(If there is a tie, the offered cards will be 'locked' and bidding on the card will continue into the next round. Tied teams can bid additional points towards this card. The team that wins the card will receive a '-1' tiebreaker and the team that lost the card will receive a '+1' tiebreaker. These 'tiebreaker points' will be used to break ties without having to go into the next round. They will stay in effect until the end of the draft, and may change depending on future ties.)
[The winner pays the amounts from the 1st and 2nd bid and receives the card. Also, a -1 tiebreaker.]
[The loser receives the bonus amount from the 1st bid and a full refund of the 2nd bid. Also, a +1 tiebreaker.]
After each round a point total equaling [the amount of cards drafted that round] x [the number of teams (10)] is added to everyone's point amount.
Teams will have 24 hours to submit their offers.
Pillars and Pendulums are unavailable for drafting and can be used freely during the event.
DECKBUILDING & MATCHES9 Rounds. Each team will play each other team once.
Matches will be best-of-5.
Any player on a team can play any amount of matches.. so long as no one goes 2 rounds without playing a match.
In the event 2 teams with a different amount of players face each other, a player from the team with less players will have to play an extra match.
Before playing any of their matches for a round, each team must choose 'an amount' of cards per match and assign them to a specific match. The selected cards can only be used in that match.
- 3 cards for a 2v2 match
- 2 cards for a 3v3 (or 4v4) match
- EXAMPLE: Team A is facing Team B in a 3v3 match. Team A must select 2 cards for Match A, 2 cards for Match B, and 2 cards for Match C .. Team B must do the same) These selections are not shown to the other team.
Additionally cards can only be used 2 times in a match. (You can't just draft 1 all powerful deck)
Each player on your team gets access to the full amount of upgrade packs your team has. However, you can only use a pack once per match. (You can use all of them in game 1 or distribute them evenly throughout the match)
AFTER MATCHESAll players must submit their results in the appropriate thread for that round of play.
WINNERMatch and Game amounts will be added up.
The team with the most points will be crowned the winners of Draft IV.
The top 4 players with the highest individual records will receive 2017 World Championship points (10/4/2/1).
REWARDSThe team members will receive the Draft award
and be enshrined on the Kravian Cup in the Drafting Hall of Fame (if someone knows how to do this).
