Congrats team polk
We'd been most worried about you guys since the very beginning (he said the same about us) and it seems we had cause to be. I had a bit of bad luck, but even so, due to the way the draft played out on both sides, they had a lot more varied deck options open, and I knew it would be a very hard match to win even with good luck on my side.
Game 1: Monoentropy mirror match. Pretty sure we actually had exactly the same deck, except maybe that I had an abom/maxwell split (but didn't get maxwell anyway). I win cointoss and play discord, but he has several more pillars, and can play stuff even with my discord going. I get all my extra discord copies early instead of business cards, and a couple dragons, and I end up playing my shield thinking he's got discord coming, but it turns out he didn't. Had I not played it, he'd have killed me much faster, but I'd have gotten a little more damage in. He had more creatures in play than I drew all game.
Game 2: I know I have to surprise tenmen to win, because we have far fewer deck options than they do. I go with vader saders. He goes with squid/sancs and has a slightly bigger deck, and I concede once he bolts a couple saders and plays a squid and 3 sancs.
Game 3: Again, I know I have to come up with something unexpected. I make a rainbow stall, predicting monoentropy and thinking qpillar > discord. I predict correctly, but my quantum pillars don't produce anything I actually need, and I manage to play one nonpillar card all game even though I have oodles of quanta, but it's all in elements I don't need it in. He also didn't get discord, so the prediction became irrelevant. I end the game with something like 7 qps in play, but I only produce 2 life quanta (with 2 heals in hand), 6 entropy quanta (with 2 AMs in hand), and 2 miracles (out of 3 in a 40 card deck). I don't draw any of the CC I could have actually played
