This thread is for player drafting, and discussion of player drafting.

Captains were chosen using a super secret forumula based on psychic reading of animal entrails and the orbit of Venus.  Captains also need to pick a colour for their respective teams.

There are 40 players but since teams need an even # of players there are only only 36 picks.  4 players will go undrafted, yet they'll be eligible as replacements if anyone drops out.  Sorry, but there really isn't any way around this.  If you're not picked, take heart.. you could go on to be the Kurt Warner (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Warner) of Elements.

Shouldn't this Draft be in Snake model as well? I mean, I'm missing the best 5 players anyways, at least don't give me the worst team

I very much prefer the idea of a snake draft as it just seems more fair.  For those unfamiliar with a snake draft that would mean in this case that in round one the pick goes (1) 1world24...(6) xdude and round two goes (1) xdude...(6) 1world24.

Also, would the picking of cards go in opposite order from the picking of players, follow the same order as here, or be random?  Doesn't seem quite right to me for the same person to be picking first in both cases simply because of entrails and the orbit of Venus.  Maybe we should use Mars this time?
