The Draft, Cards

It might be good if we can try to get something set up this weekend were everybody can be on because otherwise the card draft will take weeks.

That's why anyone on the team is allowed to post draft picks.  I do not want 96 cards to depend on a six captain cycle the way player drafting did.  I realize first round is tricky but we should be able to get things moving along quickly after that.

If you're going to designate two or three people to do most of the picks you should probably have a shared strategy with the rest of your team members.  I suggest deciding as a team which cards you value most, aim for combos that will work well together in deckbuilding, and maybe even try to disrupt your opponents picks.  A few people have said they have drafting experience with sports or other card games and they know it's a little more than just picking whatever the "best" card remaining is.

And so we have Graboid as the first overall pick, solid choice.  Any comments or predictions?  Even if you aren't in The Draft you're allowed to follow along vicariously.

Graboid is a great pick and definitely worthy of the first round. It has been in a lot of good decks and has amazing stats. As for predictions, I think nova, discord, and immolation will be picked soon. We'll see what happens.

comments? personally i would put nova above graboid since theres no way you'll get both in your pool
you are allowed to go rainbow graboid still but the loss of nova means it wont be as good

personally i'd put this as my top 10 picks :-
1) nova
2) phoenix
3) graboid
4) deflag
5) fog shield
6) fractal
7) discord
8) arsenic
9) dim shield
x) devourer

yes, i'm rating phoenix above graboid, even with out immos, phoenix is very hardy and require at least 2 cards combo to get rid of
and cheap hax shield trumps just about any other shields, enough said
why devo/pest in 10th instead of any other critters? because it is just that awesome

plastiqe, if you take the "glow" function off of the Team names in the opening post they'll line up with the draft picks.  Which would make me less prone to seizures.

Also if you could find room for captains and team members in the opening post I'd know who to be annoyed with over the current standstill.
