Let the teammates vote democratically over who gets it, and deserves it!

Yeah. Either let the team choose the teammate who contributed the most to the team and obviously deserves the award the most, or let them decide it with a small tourney using the cards they drafted.

I wish we could just take the epicness restrictions off and I could hold a pvp event worthy of giving an icon to each player on the winning team.  As it is I'm fine with having a vote at the end to determine who the icon goes to.  Award Icons determined by points would go something like this:
Each player on the winning team gets 2 points for each of their match victories. Each player on the winning team may vote for the player they think deserves the icon the most.  Each vote is worth 1 point.Highest point total gets the award, plastiqe will vote in the event of a tie.
The only thing I don't like is that it might lead to a situation where team members are set against eachother trying to one up the others and win an icon, hopefully there will be none of that.

The icon would be a pint of draft beer.

I'd personally prefer it to to be solely based on W/L ratio.  Voting on a small team is a mess.

I have a question about trading. If - let's say - Team Brown trades Luciferin for Team Purple's Immolation, will Team Brown be able to use Luciferin? Or is that card gone for that round?

Also, what's the maximum amount of participants?

In the opening rounds trades consist of lending out your card for one of theirs, so Team Brown may still use their own Luciferin if they've traded for Immolation.  In the final round this is not the case.

There is no upper limit on participants.  Each team will start with the same amount of players.  Some players may therefore go undrafted and be available as replacements.

I don't think that having the following team pick is a very good idea, as if they're smart about it, they won't just pick a card that's useless for the team, they'll use it to hate draft another team. Instead, I recommend that they just lose the pick entirely. This has more or less the same effect for the team that missed the pick and removes the possibility for another team to be penalized.

Another option would be that the team that missed their pick would have to wait until their next turn to make the pick.

Teams have 8h to make each pick.  If 8h has passed since the last pick was made, the next team may take their turn as well as choose the card for the delinquent team (this is a penalty as your opponent will likely not make an ideal pick for your team).
Oh shoot, 8 hours, am I correct in assuming any member of the team can make the pick? I do agree on the time though, it appears reasonable
Also, is there a time limit for player drafting?
The problem that I foresee is that people often sleep for 8 hours or longer, let alone are online to make the pick.

I think losing the pick entirely is quite unfair, but pushing it back 1, 2, or even until the end of on-time drafting sounds fair

Going back to the original rule from the first Draft, hopefully the shorter 8h limit will be enough to speed things up.
