I think that your card pile should be called something other than "Vault". Vault is not an "official" Elements term. It's mostly used in War, and shouldn't be used in other events. It would be better if there was some kind of unique name for "Vault" in this event, or maybe simply call them "Cards".

There are many similar issues with other events. For example one event has "proving of worthiness", exactly the same term used in Trials. That should be changed as well.

Budokan originally used a term "General" (or was it Master?). Essence changed it to a Japanese theme, and now it's much better because not only is it unique, it also has more personality this way.

To clarify, this is not really about which event has a "copyright" over which word. This is about making events unique by using unique terms, while at the same time decreasing confusion.

Originally, I used the term "Vault" as I thought it would make it easier to understand what the dog's Health is for, even though it was disturbing to use the same term as the war uses.
Thanks for pointing this out and giving the opportunity to change it into something more fitting.
The first thing that popped into my mind was "Stash", the second one was "Den". Den would be a good choice, if there weren't that little logical fail: "If your dog gets damaged, why does its den crumble?"
In the end, I decided to simply call it "the dog's Health".
 - Replaced "Vault" with "Hp" and reworded some stuff.

I have a second suggestion. To give the event a bit more personality, we could use a character sheet that looks something like this:
Awesome! Great idea, I love it.
The dog picture can also be made from any dog-dressup game, or painted by the player him/herself.

I made a Pimp My Dog image creator. It's still not ready (images missing), but this first beta version will give a general idea.

1. Download the file attached to this post
2. Go to http://pixlr.com/editor/ and open the file you just downloaded
3. Uncheck the first layer (white text on black background) to reveal all the dogs and their accessories
4. Pick your dog (currently 5 options)
5. Pick accessories
6. Add your own images like this:
      1. Find a royalty-free picture from the web
      2. Copy the URL of the image
      3. Inside Pixlr, open a new image from URL
      4. Resize the image if needed, select all, copy, and paste in the main Pimp My Dog file
      5. Drag the image to when you want it. You can resize it by pressing Ctrl+T

7. Once your image is ready, go to File -> Save, and choose the imm.io option
8. Save as PNG
9. Go to link given and cope the image URL. Use that URL to add your newly Pimped Dog on the forum post.

That's it.

P.s. I am well aware that this has nothing to do with the actual gameplay, and some people might find this silly and pointless. But it will add some comedic value, so I think it's worth it. :)

I like your dog picture idea to. This would also help make this event even more unique and also who doesn't want a kool looking dog, character sheet?

Also I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned in the rule thread but, at some point this event or a different event exactly the same except that it has upped cards, should be done.

But to not shut out other players completely make it so that there is another tier that can be upgraded like power and luck. This would mean the players with upped cards would be sacrificing power, defense, luck or intelligence for upped cards which gives the other players a chance at the event.

i really do like these ideas specially the template thanks for that SG also the whole custom dog pictures :) . also a minimium was something that was needed and Root beat me to it before i could ask kaker about it glad most of these things are filling out nicely

another thing that was missing and needed to be fixed which im pretty sure kaker fixed already but im posting here for future refrence was that. the rules made it seem that after each match you had to discard, which wasnt how it should have been it needed to be all discarding learning and salvaging happens at the end of the battle also i added or am giving 1 day for particpants to change stats. if particpants are unable to do this on there own they need to pm me there stat changes and all go in and make them otherwise. the penalty is al the xp/points will just turn into relics for there dogs vault. does this sound fair? or what should happen if changes arent implemented i would like feedback now rather then wait for the acatul thing to happen.

This is sorta feedback for all PvP Events but can be applied to this Event specifically.

2: If none surrenders, the one who was clearly more active in finding a time for the match gets the win. The organizer has the last word here.
I'd like to see this rule enforced more frequently.  Scheduling a matchup should be easy.  First find the periods of availability for PlayerA and PlayerB.  Second, pick a time where there's overlap.  If PlayerA misses that time, he should lose and PlayerB should win.

Something to consider is a linkage system between damage and XP.  These battles with 0-1 damage are pretty ridiculous and will just turn this event into a marathon.  Perhaps the maximum XP gain in a battle could be equal to the total damage inflicted?  This will he discourage the max DEF/INT turtle tactic that is sure to drag this event out far too long.

Well, if those turtle builds are going to be a problem, I'd suggest to make a little change in the stats for future versions of this event:
Damage taken is not calculated from str, but from the round we are in. Each round increases the losers damage taken by 3 and the winner damage taken by 1. (This will make the event go a while for everyone, but it won't go too long)
Str gets an additional feature: Allows the use of upgraded cards, 1 up for each STR.
