If they actually do that, yes it will.
But then again, the loser will be out of the tournament after the first round and the winner will probably lose pretty soon after that as well.

If I may suggest something: don't do it^^ you won't come far with only 30 cards in your vault.

What happens when your dog's strength vs. your opponent dog's defense is <= 0?  Example: your dog has 5 strength, their dog as 1 defense, 1 - 0.75 * 5 = -2.75.  Do you automaticly win?  Or do you need to win a minimum of 1 match no matter how powerful your dog?

Do you think you could add a maximum limit of 3 wins to win a match?
2 or 3 wins is the standard for most events. 4 or 5 will take a while. 6 or 7, which is a realistic possibility, is too much.

Adding a maximum limit is indeed a good idea, but I'd set it at like ~5 needed wins.
That is still plenty so everyone can build the dog however it is liked, but prevents people from having ever to play more than 9 matches.

I'm not too keen on the fact that they can possibly knock you out even if they lose. That just seems so...wrong to me. Would it be possible to limit the damage they can deal even further, so that your HP cannot go under 30 when you win?

That would be possible but I'd rather keep it as it is.
See it this way: Even the winner of a fight can die (or be permamently crippled) because of the wonds he recieved while the loser might be KO but without any mortal wounds.

also guys all salvaging and discarding health will be done after the match not during sorry if this caused any confusion for people also TStar sample dog isnt correct since all changes happen after a fight but u can still use his template
