Let me say one thing first:
OH THANK YOU RNG.

Autodog 1: Sparky 1

I decided that this was my best bet, considering I had bits and scraps in my vault.
Game 1: Early fog shield, and my lack of creatures hurt me wayyyyy to much for me to have a chance.
Game 2: 2-3 quanta pillars by him, GAVE HIM 3 AIR QUANTA. I was surely baffled by how much RNG had come to hate me, because lo and behold, Fog shield became his best friend (till the end). I got a swarm of creatures+an early EQ shut his quanta down pretty bad. Came down to my last turn, whether or not I would win. 1 GotP, 1 lycan, 5 shriekers on board. Needed 7 damage. Got it.

Good games, ddevans!

If I'm correct, the effects of this match are:
Autodog: +8 exp, -1 hp
Sparky: -14hp
You're just as selfish as I am. You're just not as good at it yet.

Pure RNG love, until a critical point in the second game. I had a fog shield out early both games, and in the second game I got 3 air quanta from 2 quantum pillars my first turn. Epicness.

(majofa) afojam 2 - 0 Hot Dog (jippy99)
This round, if I lost one game.. that was it... my dog would hate me almost as much as Napalm hates me for making the Event card for WAR this round.

Game 1:  WIN (vs Flying Accelerated Titans)
I went first and put down some pillars. He went and put down 7 Gravity Pillars. I had a Deflag in my hand, so I figured I was fine.. since it would need him to draw into the other half of the flying titan. He did :(  But he only drew one more and I blew that one up. My Phoenix kept coming. :)

Game 2:  WIN (vs Flying Accelerated Titans + Poison)
He went first and drew one Gravity Pillar. I got 6 pillars with a Deflag and Fahrenheit. I blew up the Bone Pillar he put down, and then just kept drawing Phoenixes.

Deck I used both games.

(Kakerlake) Roach 2 - (Five In One) Three 0
(Required victories: 2 - 3)

1st Match:

I had a great start with a bunch of pillars and rewinds, drew some graboids but my EQ's stayed somewhere in the back. Didn't hurt though since Three didn't have that many pillars out anyway and the rewinds on the Chrysos were enough to slow him down plentily.
A late Ice Shield let him stall a while by freezing a Shrieker, but the other one happily continued clobbering, so I wasn't too much afraid of that arsenic that showed up. And so it was over before the poison managed to get too high.

2nd Match:

My hand consisted of 3 Grabos, 1 EQ, 2 Pillars and one Pend. EQ instantly mashed 2 opposing pends and the grabos started swarming in. Some RT's showed up always just in time to rewind a growing Steamer or a Squid. With RNG playing so much in my favor, Three didn't stand much of a chance and left me with 40 HP (+40 from 2 SS) when the game was over.

Thanks for the match Five In One.

Win: Roach (Kakerlake) - 2/2
Loss: Three (Five in One) - 0/3

Code: [Select]

Things didn't go too well for me this first battle. I got a decent poison setup going, but Roach was too fast for me. Also, Rewinds didn't mix too well with my deck, either. An ice shield held things off for a little while, though, before his Graboids overwhelmed me.
Code: [Select]
5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f6 5f6 5f7 5f7 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i9 5i9 5ib 5ib 5ib 5ib 5ii 5ii 5ii 5ii 5ii 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm
A little worse off than the first, I wasn't able to draw the cards I needed and keep my cards on the field. That mixed with a bad opening hand sealed my fate.
I'm a little disappointed with the way these games turned out, but that was to be expected since rushes don't mix well with my slow decks' styles and weaknesses to CC. Good games, Kakerlake!

RESULTS:

Three takes 9 damage.
Roach takes no damage.
Roach gains 8 EXP.

I noticed that Three only took 8 damage for this round. Wouldn't it be 9, since he couldn't deflect more damage than Roach's Strength?

Not quite.  The minimum amount of damage you can take in a loss is equal to the strength of the winning dog, no matter how high your defense is.  There is no cap on the amount that can be prevented by defense so long as you take at least the minimum damage.
Carpe Diem!!

Round 1:
Rex was like: RAWR! but quanta shortages dulled his teeth. Rex had a mid-game invigoration, but it was too little too late and Rex sadly lost round 1.

Round 2:
Rex went RAAAWWWRR! and drew an OK hand, while Spartacus drew a mediocre 1 pillar no nova hand. Rex outrushed Spartacus.

Round 3:
Rex had the best hand this entire series, with 2 novas and a pillar, while Spartacus again got a 1 pillar no nova hand. Rex again outrushed Spartacus.

Gg Kirchj33 and Spartacus.

LOSS
Carcharoth 2 - 2 s0ck

Almost always used the same deck:
Code: [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vl 4vl 590 590 590 593 593 593 593 593 5f6 5ul 5ul 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um
In battle 4 I used this:
Code: [Select]

I got screwed by the RNG twice. I will need to rethink some things.

Made a minor adjustment to the deck, adding that lil fire spirit turned out to be quite helpful as I was able to draw it in both games. Carcharoth didn't have the greatest hands and whenever he got something going I was able to deflag or bolt his creatures while i slowly chipped away at his HP.

Good games!

Results:

Carcharoth receives 8 dmg
s0ck receives 0 dmg
s0ck gains 4 xp
