The Oracle warns you about Divine Glory - What is the perfect deck?

Normally I just run my rainbow and sideboard in some cards for my prewarned False God. Every other god has fallen to my assult after being warned by the Oracle. The one to escape is Divine Glory. Whats the perfect deck to take him down?

Probably some Life-based heal-past. DG's Glories cannot be controlled out, and she has Miracles, so you cannot control and cannot do it the fast way. So, the only way left and the only weakness is that the damage of Glories is just... I don't know, 11x8 per turn? Less?

So, I'd use a Life deck with Druidic Staff and Jade Shield and Protected (earthsplash) Bonds and many creatures to even the damage out and then just slowly beat with said creatures. Say, a few Glories, not the maximum amount, just like 4-5, deal 32-40 damage, 24-30 with your Jade Shield out. Eight creatures four Bonds or a similar mix heal 32 HP per turn, so you are on top.

...well, at least that looks good for me on paper.

Here is your perfect deck, Kael...

One flying staff with adrenaline heals for 20 hp. That's 2.5 glories. So two staves with adrenaline cancel out five Morning Glories. Time your damage dealing so that you leave DG with just enough hp that he won't cast Miracle before you play one or two more flying staves for the win. You should win 100% of the time save a horrid draw, and you will win with mastery more often than not. Even with a bad draw, you can recover, because the deck is über-redundant.

Lance decks work well too.  Fire shield, lots of quantums, and flying farenheits deal your damage, and with the lances you'll surprise him and get around the miracle.

With the new 8/4 stats for Morning Glory, I've never found Fire Shields to be a good enough reply.  They need massive healing to go with them -- like 4-6 SoGs -- and a delaying tactic that won't ruin the shield as well -- like Sundials.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

You would have been proud of me, Essence. I built another deck that owned Divine Glory that was based on Permafrost, Poseidon, Puffer Fish, and SoG. Sapphire Towers, Mark of Earth, six PA. Unfortunately it didn't win as often as the flying druid staff deck, so I didn't post it. :)

Also, I'm proud because I'm the one who first realized that flying Druid Staves were pwnage.  ;p

Unupped Staff has 2 attack, so it hits four times with Adren. Upped Staff has 4 attack, so it only hits three times. You get an additional 5 hp from the unupped Staff, even if it does slightly less damage.

Ah. Interesting. Unupped is definitely preferable, then. :) Thanks for clarifying.
