I knew he's going to bring SoPa Dolls, which lately gained quite the notoriety, and I decided not to bring weapon-reliant decks on him. This one did almost well. The operative word was almost; I destroyed his Patience one turn too late XP

Despite the 2-turn Silence chain early in the game and I being able to zap all his squids before they got two doses of Patience (one dose of Patience still leaves an Arctic Squid at 3/4, vulnerable to Thunderbolt), he still got his Dolls wipe the floor with my limbs XD

I attempted to exploit SoPa Dolls's lack of PC, but when I saw Mark of Darkness, I thought he had mindgated me right there. To make matter worse, Dusk didn't seem to work very properly. And inserting Steal rather than Deflagrations for PC actually managed to work against me because Eclipse, the only thing he'd dearly miss for much of the game, buffs both side of the field.
Final words: Shiragiku is, borrowing DotA terms, totally a feed

Didn't disappoint despite being a little underquanta'd. But it's illegal - doh!  0-cost cards for the downfall of 1 shapeshifter.

Thought this would go well in the matchup. Against a Shard golem rush, it was a matter of getting SoV & vagger out ASAP. Didn't get them out fast enough=loss.

With the knowledge of the past 4 games, thought he'd go with it again, so I went for it again. When I saw the mark, I thought, shit, pandestall. I was gone. But he played a very unique deck, I appreciated the innovation. Had some great damage in, got all my CC in at about 36hp left. Kept drawing quanta, not enough damage. The NM dragon game him a slow but sure win with one dragon and 2 MD on the field.

Very good match. Possibly immortal R2 Shard Golem made it very annoying for me to mindgate, it was basically a gamble on every match and except for matches 2 and 4, they could all have gone either way, congratz JCJ and good luck further on!
