Seeing the shield, currently there are several main types of damage absorption.
First type is <Damage Reduction>.
Second type is <Condition Checking> - Creature can reach you only if ~~.
Third type is <Missing Probability> - XX% chance to evade the attack.
Fourth type is <Counterattack> - Attacks(Kills) creatures instead blocking.
And there are the other effects - Reflects spell damage, generates quanta, etc.
Spoiler for shield by shield:

- First(though it is more important because it is a "creature" shield>

- Ehh.. none
The first type is strong against an army of weak ATK creatures; while being weak against few strong ATK creatures.
The second type is strong against creatures not satisfying the condition; while being weak against creatures satisfying the condition.
The third type is not strong nor weak against any type of creatures. (momentum and psion are out of topic)
The fourth type is strong again an army of weak HP creatures; while being weak against few strong HP creatures.
As we can see, the first and fourth types are so many in there.
And then I realize, except bone wall, there's no type such that -
Strong aginst few strong creatures; while being weak against an army of weak creatures. So I thought about how the shield can be strong against few strong creatures.
And here comes the ideas:
- Creatures more than X attacks can't reach you.
- Ignores first X attacks each turn.
- Ignores one attack each turn. Stackable.
- Can't take more than X damage at a time.
- Can't take more than X damage at a time. Excess damage is returned to the attacking creature.
What idea do you like most? Do you think the idea is good?
And if it is, what theme(mostly, card name and element) they can get?
