Why not allow the Mind Dragon to do spell damage similar to Psionist? For lower damage than standard dragons of course...

EDIT: It would in a sense reflect the Immortal - Phase Dragon relationship...

Dragons are meant to be Vanilla unless Vanilla would be OP. Immaterial was given as a DeBuff to Phase Dragon + Twin Universe

Idea: Quantum Generator: Theory: Generate  :mind = to number of cards in deck divided by 5? 4? Number of cards in hand? in field?

In theory (bad pun there), it would work.

Thank you for the idea. However the 13th element project is long past the card brainstorm stage. I will still post it because we were just wrapping up balancing Forget. (Discard a card and gain quanta)

A graveyard? And with that, the addition of cards like this -http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,21632.msg295799#msg295799 (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,21632.msg295799#msg295799).
</shameless plug>

The game already tracks deaths of cards. An inbuilt method on each card that is called on death to add their ID to the end of an array called graveyard[] would use up at most 30 clock cycles every time something dies. The only issue would be how the graveyard is to be presented in-game. A pop-up menu for selecting cards would take a bit of effort to make, but can be re-used later for heaps of purposes.

Could you provide a more detailed explanation on why another element would be difficult? Code?

Zanz has vetoed the Graveyard. (however you are accurate that Death triggers do track history)

Zanz has not been asked about Search cards.

Zanz has vetoed another element. (however the assumed reason previously was partially thematic, partially code based and partially balance based. Card costs used a type from an array including the 12 types or left blank for random. A new type would have to be added to the array and then balanced and then given a fiting theme which would involve a 14th element.)

????

I didn't know there were that many different data types in flash.

Joking aside, just saying that an array is used isn't very precise. Are the quantities stored in the array? Or is the array just used as a signpost to the actual variables?

Unfortunately that is the extent of my knowledge (despite my searching Zanz's posts on the forum). Some of my 'knowledge' may even be inaccurate.

Would you be willing to investigate this further? (Within reason of course. Do not annoy Zanz and do not hack the game.)

I can't hack the game. Flash is advertised as being near-impossible to figure out implementation from the compiled result. The most I could do is give myself a million cards.
Do you know anyone who has access to the source? Or the location of the source?

Zanz, the author, has the code.
I heard Chriskang, now gone, once saw a sizable portion of the code.

How am I going to get the code from Zanz without bugging him? Steal?

Also, The void type looks like a good idea. Maybe different cards could have their void quanta behave in different ways? Some cards would let you choose which type to affect, some cards that always give your opponent quanta of one
I've also noticed that bad draws are far more detrimental to my play in elements than they are in games like MTG and yu-gi-oh. Maybe it's because there are more cheap cards in MTG and no cost to playing most cards in yu-gi-oh. Either way, something needs to be done about that.
