Ooh ooh I got one!

But seriously, though, I think of some sort of creature delay effects for sonic attacks, or some small amounts of damage with other debilitating effects.  For nondamaging spells, you can get a lot more creative in the mechanics.  (ex: silence)

Upbeat

Both you and your opponent draw 2 cards each turn, permanent.

IMO what is suggested here, a beat = rhythm. = time.

Why?

Don't you have a favourite song that motivates you? Music, sounds can influence you emotionally, so why should melodies or songs be in time?

Sound is the resonance of the music, not the pace at which it flows.

Sounds are waves and inherently have frequency, amplitude, etc, to draw a distinction there I think severely limits the sound subtype.

I just read an article on why cats purr. Purring is at a frequency which improves bone density and promotes healing. Perhaps we can make sound cards that heal too.
