I should make something known to you guys, just so I know that you all know. ^^;

The only pseudoquanta cards that will be allowed into the current system will be the ones not using the pseudoquanta icons. Hence, the reason why Copy Pillar | Copy Tower was moved to Crucible this past week without hindrance.

If CP/CT was put in, shouldn't that read "...that will be allowed into...", not "that will not be allowed into..."?

All pseudoquanta needs to have a purpose and an inherent value to the game.

I do not think all the current ideas have been sufficiently defended nor the case of their value (if any) made strong enough for all the ideas.

Additionally cards should only use a pseudoquanta as a shortcut if the card justifies the shortcut. I trust that Essence will do as good a job as possible.
my copy quanta justifies its existence in mindgate decks, as well as rainbow decks, because that way you will have quanta of your opponents mark to play their cards with a card that generates copy quanta, and in rainbows, you will probly have the quanta to play cards that employ copy quanta anyways.
If it was just a mechanic and not a pseudoquanta you are right. Notice  :rainbow allowed viable Rainbow decks AND allowed generic cards. Neither was viable/possible without that pseudoquanta option for cost and generation. Mindgate and Rainbows are already viable in their present form.

Idea Guru announcement: Despite cards with written pseudoquanta being allowed into the crucible, I would expect we would all agree that pseudoquanta ideas should be tested in the Design Theory section first to determine if they are justified, useful and simple enough as well as to determine what characteristics would justify a card using a written version of that pseudoquanta.

As predicted...the Card Curators frowned, the thread died, and the idea died with it.  :(

As predicted...the Card Curators frowned, the thread died, and the idea died with it.  :(
Correction:
The curators frowned on using symbolism to represent this type of mechanic.
The thread died because people misunderstood.

No, the thread died because because you can't fit that much text on a card if you have to explain Apogee quanta every time you want to refer to it.  Trust me, I've tried.  More importantly, pseudoquanta was cool, and without that coolness, it's just not worth pursuing anymore.

Well, this makes me sad.

Another awesome idea goes down the drain because people lose enthusiasm at the first obstacle. :(

The first obstacle was coming up with the ideas.  The second was creating new marks for them.  The third was finding clever ways to apply them.  Being unable to move them to the Crucible isn't the first obstacle; it's door slammed in your face just as you're about to shake someone's hand.

How can you have enthusiasm when the Powers that Be tell you 'don't bother' to your face?
