Because wind is actually formed through differences in pressure rather than genuine 'gaseous substances'.Yes! Wind cannot be broken down into multiple separate things, can be divided in half without changing and is not made from an existing element.

So it is not an element. A mountain can be divided into many rocks. So it is not an element. Ice is made of Water. So it is not an element. I cannot split Wind into 2 or more things. If I cut some wind into pieces the pieces remain wind. Wind is not made of Air despite moving through air. So Wind could be an element.

Still, though I agree with you partly, Wind seems too similar to air for my liking. If we had a better name... maybe 'Pressure'? Or is that too close to ?
what about "spirit" (as in "goodness") and "gluttony"?dunno if putting human traits is good though...
I believe Wood and Metal are fair names for an element. After all, the famous elemental system known as Wu Xing has Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood for its core elements. Because of this, Wood and Metal are fine as elemental titles.
It is close to Air. Just like Wood and Metal and Force are close to Life, Earth and Gravity. A better name would not change that detail. I would not recommend adding any of those 4 to the game as a result of being too similar. However they do qualify as elements and thus are appropriate for this design practice.

So... are we doing Wood or Metal as the 14th? Or are we calling it material and doing both? OR starting up a simultaneous 15th Element thread?
