I have an idea that i wanted to check here before posting, and also to find a good name.
Name: Owl's gaze?
Spell
Opponent does not draw until this card blinks. Blinks after 2|3 turns.
After this card blinks, all cards that would have been drawn are put into the hand.
What element should this be?
It is the greatest mystery of all...

Idea by: Masterfurry, Pillarless (ign), Masterfuron (Kongregate Account Name)
Element: Life or Death or no Element at all
Type: Permanent
Name: Life or Death
Concept: All creatures on your side of the field gain +2/+2. All enemy creatures lose -2/-2. If a creature is killed by this card and this card is destroyed then the card will appear as the first card in your opponents deck.  (or the card never comes back) (or any enemy creatures that die from this effect will now be your creature for the rest of the game)

All I need is a picture. I was thinking of a SunFlower with Half Alive and Half dead with the alive part bright and the dead part dark. Or maybe a Mask with Half a Smile and Half a Frown with it being bright and dark or maybe Half Sun half Moon or half the card shows a sun that is rised and a card that is showing nightfall.

Now all you have to do is wait, Zblader, Nepycros, OldTrees or any one of several other folks will help you flesh this idea out enough for the Smithy. I by then may get an image of what this should look like. If I can't come up with an image seek help from Thalas or Krava .

Reminds me of a similar card from MTG. As a permanent it's very strong - Eclipse in comparison only buffs two type of elemental creatures, this is worth about 4 times as much as a result(x2 for all elements, x2 for weakening enemy creatures along with strengthing yours).

I would suggest spliting up the three effects in this card - field buff, field weaken, or copying dead cards.
Field Buff would have to be creative in some way, try to give to a certain class of creatures that would really need a buff.
Field Weaken might be good as a permanent that gives all enemy creatures of the opponent's mark -1 |-1.
The copying dead cards idea could be changed so that whenever a creature dies, it goes to your hand or something similar.

Well since it is such a strong card people will like it better and probably vote more on it. I could put it as, if an enemy creature dies while this card is in play then the creature that was killed is now your card permantly. That would be good.

"Such a powerful card" and "people will like it better" don't regularly go in the same sentence in this community. You're going a step too far by BUFFING it after people have been trying to make sure it isn't overpowered. Take it one step at a time.

Ok, Maybe the Unupped can just give +1/+1 and the enemy -1/-1 and the upped can give +2/+2 and the enemy gets -2/-2 and if the creature is killed in the process then you get the creature (in the upped card) for the unupped if a creature dies then it dies.

Thought experiments for you to help you see this card:
What would be a balanced casting cost for the unupped and upgraded versions?
Why did ZBlader say it was 4x as valuable as Nightfall?

I was thinking of the cost being 4 Dark and 5 Dark or mayb 4 Dark and then upped can be 4 Life? Can I do that?
I think Zblader meant 4x as powerfull.

I think Zblader meant 4x as powerfull.
So Nightfall costs 3 :darkness|4 :darkness
You think your suggestion should cost 4 :darkness|4 :life
ZBlader thinks that your suggestion is ~4x as powerful
So what should you examine about how you estimated the costs?
What makes it more powerful than nightfall?
How extensive and powerful is that advantage?
What increase in cost or nerf in effect in necessary to balance your suggestion?
