2 players cannot both be required to give input to the game in the same turn.
If the ability could be cobbled together using triggers that would work. I do not see a solution that would resemble the original though.

I had an idea for a weapon. Basically, give it a pretty decent attack, but give it the ability of an anti-Rustler: take two  , make one  (equal conversion rates). Basically, it means that if you had both, quanta could flow from one element to the other, making a rather interesting deck.

Please don't make it a weapon. Weapons should have significant abilities not minor abilities. This kind of a weapon would support Rustler not be a power in itself. As a non weapon permanent it could work. (As FFQ it does work)

@Trees: It may not just support Rustler. It could also replace it in some decks. It's certainly a more stable way to make a conversion of quanta, as an EA would make it completely untouchable. As to the idea of making it a permanent, I agree with you there. It could be cheaper that way and it would still keep its synergy with EA. (FFQ isn't the same, as it requires a trio, does something different upped, and generates light every turn instead.)

I just thought it up on the fly. My reasoning is that, if a spear is currently in your gut, you probably don't want to blow it up.

Well in my mind Impale seems to be a side note for Diamond Spear not the main focus of the card.

Well, I have an idea on a fairly odd effect.

What if we made use of "Spear fragments"?



Due to lack of space on the card, I will tell you now. Fragmentation destroys Diamond Spear, deals 5 damage to the opponent, and creates 3 Spear Fragments.



This means, over time, you can create an army of flying Diamond Spears, all from a single card in a mono- with a splash!

A spear that blows up into three parts but can be remade with two? That makes NO SENSE. ???
It doesn't look too OP, though. Interesting idea for a spawner.
