Blorb: Shield (Weapon? Permanent? Creature even? Anything works, I guess.) that has a small chance (10%? 15%?) to turn so many attacking creatures into weak creatures. (Spark was my first idea, but we could make it Photon.)
The mechanic isn't new, see Graveyard and a certain failed rare shield. In fact, it's so good that I wanted to do it in another element. Life, for a parasite, or time, for reverse evolution.
Ideas?
Skull Shield?
No, that isn't rare, I was thinking of Ash Shield. But that's the sort of thing I'm thinking of. Like a Life card that you play on your opponent's field to (have a chance to) turn all of their creatures in the adjacent slots into the same creature. Would have to be -1|-1 or 1|1 poisoned or some other drawback.
I was pointing out that Zanz changed Skull Shield to have the same purpose as you are describing.
Something to note: It took the hp of the target into account.
Since there is a similar card already in the game you will be suggesting adding a second card. All suggestions for a second card should justify why having a second card at this early point in the game's development would be sufficiently beneficial.
Ok, never mind that. In order to not copy an earlier card, as you are saying, perhaps a creature. , let us say. you play it on the opponent's field, and it has a chance to turn an adjacent creature into another of that creature. The creature might have negative attack or poison or some other effect.
You are missing my point.
1) If you do make an instant kill effect it Must take the hp of its targets into account.
2) Skull Shield is designed as a AoE CC effect that does so by changing the creature into a weak creature. The detail that it is a shield is irrelevant.
I believe that I am missing your point. I also believe that I am talking about things entirely different than you. I am really thick-skulled.
Ok, let's forget the instant kill permanent thing here.
Creature. Play it on opponent's side of the field. Has a chance to turn adjacent creatures into itself. Creature has negative effect. Negative effect could be negative attack or poison or etc. Yes? No?
