I think that the game should create a quantum pendulum so that it is harder to earthquake away quantum pillars.

I think there's already a card idea on this in the forum somewhere.

As for that logic, EQ doesn't need to be further weakened...

I'd actually argue that earthquake is too powerful as is :p  Maybe if it didn't take so long to get standalone marks... :)

As Drake showed, there is currently a quantum pendulum up in the game.

I actually think having a quantum pendulum in the game is a pretty good idea. Although, my reasoning has nothing to do with protection from EQ.

Rather, I like it because it makes it easier to build decks around having a single core element with low cost support cards from other elements.

Water, entropy, and time would seem to benefit greatly from this as they seem to have a lot of cards that link to other elements.

One thing I think would be good in this case, however, is to drop the amount of random quanta generated to 2.

The motivation for that is that use of off quanta is currently a very important means of balancing an ability. So its important not to make getting off quanta too easy or this will imbalance certain cards.

Having slower random production from q.pend also helps keep q.pillar useful and helps ensure that it will still be difficult to splash mid to high cost cards.

E.g. Ideally it would be possible to power abilities and spells that cost 1 to 2 off element quanta but difficult to power ones that cost 4 or more.

Having other types of quantum producers would definitely be a good thing, I think.  For example more cards in the vein of fireflies, rustlers, soulcatchers, and so on.  A weenie entropy creature that produced 1 random quanta/turn, for instance, would be interesting, or a darkness creature that produced(or leeched; but that would probably be OP in conjunction with pests) quanta of your  opponent's mark, and so on.
