I must admit that I am confused on the purpose of this thread and its location.
Design Theory is about theoretical discussions and partial ideas. Card Art is for card art.
Also I find it difficult to see how an assembly line of art would have a good effect since it causes less and less time devoted to coming up with a card mechanical idea. Hence we will end up with more but of lower quality cards.
The crucible and forge are already extremely full. (so much so that I slowed down my card ideas)

I think that the priority right now would be to focus on creating fewer but higher quality cards.
I personally think that the mechanic is the idea that takes the longest to create high quality work in.
Either way, an assembly line process is probably detrimental to the card idea system.

Agreed, but don't you have an images thread for that reason?

True images are a good source of inspiration. However the format of this thread is not presenting art that if inspirational then becomes a card. Rather it is requesting a card be made for each image.

I think a gallery of images available for cards would be more appropriate then a series of images requesting to be made into cards.

Any image that I post in my images thread, except those that are currently being used in smithy, or that are currently in the voting process, are available to be used.
