Actually, I was thinking you play this on opponent's creature to make it backfire...
Its a nasty counter to armagios, for instance.
Typically, a mono or duo won't be set up to receive heavy drain of their core element(s).
This is the reason that unupgraded dispersion shield only drains 1
whereas the upgraded version drains 3
per point of damage absorbed.
Depending on the casting cost, this card + GP may end up being a more effective form of QC than even devourer fractal.
More importantly, it will be very hard on non-rainbow type decks since bows are typically better prepared to deal with devourer like quanta drains. If this card is splashable, that will make a pretty significant impact on meta gameā¦ I.e. people will either have to play bows more often, or else pack counters specifically to deal with this form of QC.
Lots of troll potential in this one.
