This was something I've been meaning to get to since I had become Idea Guru, but my absence sort of hindered the start of this.
Essentially, this thread will hopefully tackle my issues [and strengths] regarding card designers' general approach to creating card ideas in attempts of finding ways for designers to create ideas better suited for the community but with their own twist. After all, we all have our own flavor in designing cards.
But this should not be limited to my views. I encourage other card designers or, hell, any other Forum member to post their own thoughts on a designer's style
Drake_XIV
Reuses and repurposes a lot of previously made ideas.
Pushes series ideas too much, leaving some ideas rushed/forced to fit a series theme.
Mechanics are generally simple.
Tries to fit in with the known scope of the game coding.
OdinVanguard
Seems to base cards around self-made 3d models.
Leaves some card themes forced for the sake of aesthetics.
Tends to have long names for card ideas.
EmeraldTiger
Likes tackling self-made Element ideas.
Likes creating new effects/keywords.
Tends to overprice cards at first.
Pineapple
Tends to have simple and clean mechanics.
Likes reusing/connecting to in-game ideas.
Card ideas tend to have two effects.
More to come...
