This is just a thought I was considering, but I think it would be interesting if there was another permanent that could produce quanta faster than pillars (ex. 2 quanta per turn) but have a drawback such as taking damage. The quanta production could be an activated ability, and like other permanents, only 6 could be present in a deck. I also think that if it should be possible to activate them first turn. This could increase the speed of the game, but with a proper drawback, pain-pillars could be balanced.
