The art is cool, just add wings.
And lots of cool lighting effects to make him an even more ethereal being (possibly the "male" version of Guardian Angel/Archangel).

That sounds like a big drawing job. Also Light already has an Angel.

Here's my previous suggestion that doesn't require 1-2 hours of drawing:

Bright light coming from inside the helmet (suggesting that the being inside the armor is not human). Simple and fast solution for all problems. And the best part is that this would probably make the image even cooler than it is now.

You can make it a Seraph instead of an Angel, if everyone doesn't want it to be called an angel.
And since humanoids are allowed:

:aether - Cyborg/Android or vice versa
:darkness - Specter(Ghost)/Phantom or Succubus or Demon
:air - Wyvern(not humanoid I know xD) or Harpy
 :death - Necromancer?(Could call forth Skeletons =D)
 :earth - Mud Golem/Steel Golem
 :entropy - *
 :fire - *
 :gravity - *
 :life - Trent/Grand Oak
:light - Cherub/Seraph (The Seraph must have 6 wings)
:time - Clockwork Walker (Like an mech made out of gears)
 :water - Siren
*Can't think of any xD

Btw, what about the Mummy/Pharaoh?

How does the card "graviton mercenary" fit? I guess I'd always figured they were human . . .

I would say that they are humanoids as they are objects in our world but creatures in elements.

I'd change the art just like how SG is suggesting. I'd also name it Zealous Spirit or something similar. Light would be a good deal cooler with Zealots in it. :>

Graviton Mercenary is a good example of a human being used in Elements.
