Have a bad hand? This card takes your deck, shuffles it, and gives you back a random sample of the same number of cards you had in your hand when you played the card.

So, let's assume you are dealt in the beginning 7 cards. You use a nova, then use elemental rift, which uses 7 random quantum to reshuffle your deck and hand. So you are given back 5 random cards again, since already used 2 of the original 7.

Thanks for listening.

This card may be a little unbalanced and stuff... I could maybe add side effects to playing this card or costs more quanta.

A card that gives you a mulligan has been suggested before. It did not get far for a variety of reasons including the rare benefit not outweighing the constant cost.

This doesn't sound bad at all to me.

What do you mean by the rare benefit and constant cost? Couldn't the card simply be rebalanced by changing the cost or add 1 to the number of cards drawn (so it includes itself when redrawing)?

Rare benefit: It is easy enough to build a deck so that bad hands are rare. This means a mulligan is rarely needed.
Constant cost: This card is a dead card unless you need to mulligan.
Result: Most games it harms you.

Not sure but I've seen similar concepts, during the game.
A skill of a perm - that reshuffles the deck and return N cards to your hand.

Sounds like Reload from YGO.
Spoiler for image:

Quote from: Card text, if it's unclear
Add all the cards in your hand to your Deck and shuffle it. Then draw the same number of cards that you added to your Deck.
I've played that card before. Seems too situational. It's almost always better to put in trap or something instead.

But in case you do want it, then :time (card drawing) or :aether (hand manipulating) is your element.

So how about it sends the rest of you hand to the deck and draws that number of cards +1? So it's sort of like Precog with a different second effect.

This would be the minimum. However its usefulness relative to Precog will always be situational.

With 2 "draw a card" cards, i'm afraid it could thin the deck too much.

A mono/duo time deck? It does seem it would get too thin, but I think that would just be a bad thing for the user despite the better draws. And I don't see many decks using precog as a thinner anyway.
