Card gender

I was thinking that we can have card with a gender.
This will allows many new things to be done with one simple sign eg.:
-Card a is a  male
-Card b is a  female
-New card allows creature from same element to conjoin, the union could be a creature with conjoined abilities too, but i think it will disadvantage too much SoI so, preferibly, will give new creature defined abilities for different elements like growing up for  , paradox for  etc. etc.

or

-Card a is a  male
-Card b is a  female
-New card can give some bonus just to male creatures or the inverse.

New card can also have a particular boost(or whatever) for just a gender, but give the secondary boost also for all the cards of its element eg.:
Card a is male
Card b is a female
-New card gives every card the chances to avoid atk or hp status (boost and negative effects) this turn but allows just female creatures to have a +2atk this turn.

We may have card with no gender, or card with some strange gender, i dunno maybe spirit, like GOTP, Immortal, psion etc. etc.
And so on...
Many new things could be done.
The circle with the arrow(male sign) and the circle with the cross(female sign) can be simply insert into the corner of the card, as well the ones with no gender will not have nothing insert,to don't make thing too complex with the re-design(even if re-design is a big word for just a sign i think[i really am a noob in design and coding stuffz]) and the ones with strange gender will have a particular(preferibly easy to recognize and into the theme) sign too obviously.
Thoughts. opinions? Bananas?

having a quantifier like "gender" for creatures makes me feel it is more akin to a passive like airborne. Before going further, are there any specific ideas you have that would incorporate this passive into the game with new cards and strategies to produce more innovation and fun?

Id'd just gave you some raws ideas in the OP, but i think that community will show up with some great ideas in a very little time if the will have the certainty that this will be in the next patch.

- Creatures of either gender could be assigned a random gender when played.
- Certain cards 'seduce' targets of opposite/same gender.
- Ambiguous gender could be for certain beings of Ditto-esque or legendary pokemon-like gender.
- What are reasons for certain cards to give bonuses to certain genders only?

Interesting. Here's my thoughts:

- Creatures of either gender could be assigned a random gender when played.
I think it could be easily done by make popping out in the wrote in the passive stuff during the game, but preferibly the will be a determined gender from the begging, for having the chance to develop a certain strategy around it or simply 'cause a male nymph make me feel confused.
- Certain cards 'seduce' targets of opposite/same gender.
I like this one, also a lil' pokemonish too, see: attraction ability pokemon...but of course you and the 99% of the people in here knows of what i am talkin' about.

Why not?

Well the reason is in the existance of the genders itselfs, otherwise there will be no convenience in do it.

Card subtypes like Airborne are useful. Gender does not seem like a good subtype to add.
Reason: On most topics there is more variance inside a gender than between genders.

if gender was built in to be a key element of the game, such as in ogre battle, it could work.  but for a single card, or subset of new cards, it just seems awkward.  "so... the guardian can be male or female... but the vampires and were wolves, etc, are androgynous?"

Well i didn't have made all the calculation and i sure do trust your experience, but i also think that a very simple distinction can fit in somewhere.

The game evolves everyday(everypatch) with things like card polls for pre-existing abilities/art cards, polls for new cards abilities/art and all sorta of features, so why not insert something new(with the insurance of not to compromise too much the old gameplay/theme.
Yeah, like i said in the OP differents type can be added and i think that the big step will be people approvation of the whole process, after that i think that an androgynous gender is not gonna be a problem.

like i said, if it was a core design of the game, it would be one thing, but he would have to go back and revamp many creatures, and he has not shown the desire to do so in the past.  i dont see it happening.
