I put this one in pre-smithy as well, but best / appropriate implementation of creature attack prevention seems relevant and useful for this thread as well. Link to topic under pre-smithy

The initial idea is a permanent with an effect that is like a selective field targeting version of a sundial.
If this is too strong, something like a SoP / Guard effect could be used (allow adrenaline creatures to bypass), or a "Block" shield like effect could be used (allow spell damage and momentum attacks to bypass)

Ancient Maze (Permanent)
Oubliet: Prevent all creatures in target field column from attacking for 1 turn.

Field Column examples:
T = targeted slot, X = blocked slot, O = open slot

Example 1:
O O O X X O O O
  O O O T O O O
O O O X X O O O

Example 2:
O O O T O O O O
  O O X X O O O
O O O X O O O O

Some notes:
-Both sides of the field are affected, so it blocks your creatures as well
-With 4 of these you can seal off either the middle or top and bottom rows completely

1) What would be a good cost?
2) Which element(s) fit best
3) What is the best way to have this mechanic work?
  -Like sundial (full stop of everything)
  -Like guard / SoP (allow multi attackers through)
  -Like a shield (allow momentum and spell damage through)
4) Any other feedback / comments would be appreciated

The current effect's cost should be zero because the effect is horrendously UP.
It's a multi-target(but that only matters if your opponent has 10+ creatures) 1-turn freeze(or sundial) that affects your creatures, too.
I'd suggest buffing the effect/duration before thinking about a cost.

Creation of a labyrinth would be Earth. Possibly Darkness, since everything can fit in Darkness.

Thematically, it should work like delay, because adrenalined creatures should be able to get out faster.

I could up the duration to 2 turns... although then 2 of these could freeze all but 3 slots from attacking indefinitely.
As an on-attack delay effect (ala SoP) that might not be too terrible since adrenaline could get free of it.
Would this be good to warrant a 1 or 2 point activation cost?
(i was thinking having a time or dark card that activates for 1 or 2 earth, but keeping it mono earth or dark could be good too)

Oh, it's a permanent with an ability? I don't think you specified this properly. I assumed the effect "Prevent all creatures...for 1 turn" was like sundial.

If this is the case, you should balance the cost off of Warden/Squid. I'd say 2 to cast and 2 for the ability.
