What would you change?

So, I wanted to make a simple mutation deck to play against AI3 and HBs... original idea occurred to me when I got life pendulum by oracle a few weeks ago... it didn't work (it's partly upped cuz I don't have enough upped fallens, yet, but I am not sure it would work even if everything was upped)

what did I do wrong?

Mutation is more a control Spell, while Improved Mutation is awesome to use in your creatures. Unupped fallen elves don't work that well.

Being a deck with more than 30 cards makes it harder to draw the creatures you want. Also, you don't have so many creatures to use the Bonds effectively. I would rather go for CC instead of healing.
You WANT 6 photons and 6 Sparks or Deja Vus to have many mutants. If you feel you have the quanta, go for Photon + 2/3 Mitosis.
Lastly... quantum pillars, no Novas. This isn't a rush and the pillars will be more effective.

unupped mutation = Kills creature OR makes a 5/5 abominiation or OCCASIONALLY a mutant
upped mutation = always a powerful mutant

Rest of chapuz's suggestions are also good. Important thing is to make the deck neat and focussed. ideally you want as little variation in your starting hand as possible, so trim it down to 30 cards, and upgrade those druids

This is getting closer to a good deck. The concept is good, nice and focused. However it lacks speed. You could drop 2 photons and 2 deja vus for dime shields, then 2 more photons/deja vus for mitosis. That gives you much needed defense in compensation for the lack of speed, and long term mutation targets.

The deck might not be super amazing even with that, but I would still give it a go.

Here is another variation... gemfinders = more hp... twin universe a mutant and it gives you a stronger mutant of the same type and element.


Note: Getting random 4 turn wins to 22 turn crushing defeats... this deck will never be effective in higher tier difficulties.

wouldn't a couple of fog shields be enough? dime are expensive (6 , 5 if phase), if I put them in the deck I will need mark of  or they will be unplayable for a few turns, and without mark of  I'd delay the fallens...

Much better!
You only need 1 or 2 Druids to start rolling, so I would swap 1Druid and 1 Tower for 2 Sanctuaries. You know, rushes will hurt you

Thing is, you have a lot of aether quanta left around. I can't say how much, but will give the deck a test  later and see the average or so.
