Just tried The Area for the first time today.
I chose Gold League for the reason that it seems the best in terms of cost/reward ratio.
Didn't bother to make a new deck for it and just went for it with RoL&Hope deck with 3 Dragon and 2 Elctro.
I guess it was about 65 % win ratio. Managed to win 4 in a raw and got a reward of a special spin.
Very nice place to earn score, money, and upgraded rare cards.
It's safe to say better than fighting against FGs in current early stage.

The guy who built a deck with Nightmares / Ghosts of the Past was a killer combo which is a big time counter-Fractal and the nemesis against RoL & Hope deck. Took me down at the first encounter but I drawed the deck again and the second time, I somehow dodged the bullet because AI was a little clumsy and won the battle, whcih was the forth and final battle to get a special spin reward. Won a Improved Miracle at the special spin.
I used to play Fractal Hope in Arena grinding. It's a very nice deck.

Out: Miracles
In: Sanctuaries, 2 or 3

The metagame is hardcore, you are gonna find black holes, discords, pests, and nightmares in abuse so sanctuaries become a must.

Anyways my pick for grinding Gold is a Speed Raimbow variant, very strong in the rush, weak in defence. My bet for farming is speed, i used to farm with a 60 card raimbow, very good but slow to play. With a 30 card speedbow, you can get an upped card/hour, and go for 10/15k score every day.

I use Instosis against Gold league.  Instosis wins most of the time and I usually get a special spin every run.

Really? I tried that, and it feels like every other deck carries Black Hole.

Ehh, the only decks I faced with Black holes were the speedbows.  Usually, I just draw as fast as I can and win.  Works most of the time for me :).

I don't know what arena you guys are playing, but the one I have access to is loaded with decks that use balck-hole every other turn mixed with decks that put up a sanctuary at about the 2nd turn of the game and proceed to protect it too, just for good measure. So, while the Pestal deck above certainly can get some wins (somewhere around 50%), and it may even gain money fairly effectively due the the high rewards in gold, it is not consistent enough to reach the special spins. At least in about 10+ hours of trying I never got to one -- even though I am several thousand electrums richer.

It seems to me, that the gold arena has way too many decks that are prepared to deal with the denial decks, e.g. using sanctuaries powered novas, supernovas, immolations or counter-denials, such as black holes etc.
Roses aren't red, Violets aren't blue.
They are just a simulation, and so are you!

That's a lot of games! Still, the metagame is still evolving.  If you're really facing that many BH+Sanc decks, then a counter is just lurking in the corner to devastate them.

- What do you do when their opening is SUPERNOVA SUPERNOVA SUPERNOVA and suddenly your one devourer needs to do quite a bit of work to drain that resulting 72 quanta your opponent is going to have? Then they play whatever lava destroyers they have and you're patiently waiting to draw one of those 2 vampires and fractal them for healing. 3/5 games go just like this one, so I don't know what makes this pretty good response to gold league.

SNbows aren't that common in gold. Besides, you do have black hole.

1 Blackhole does barely anything. Spamming black holes wins. 1 black hole barely makes a scratch.

Ha don't know what gold league you have been playing in but they are very common..alot of people in gold cant afford to upgrade lots of cards so just stick up a SN speed bow with the oracle card thrown in with double dex...12 SN + spammable creatures with a discord, BH, steals and explosions is a pretty solid force which most people already have the cards for.
