Want to reduce my Deathstalker/Nightfall deck size. https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=25600.msg326397#msg326397

Well, since I'm posting here, clearly I'm a newbie to the game. That being said, I'd greatly appreciate the input of some more experienced players with the deck I'm trying to put together.

Code: [Select]
52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52u 52u 52u 52u 52u 52u 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uo 5uo 5up 5up 5up 5uq 5uq 5uq 5uq 5v1 5v1 606 606
NOTE: I want add in 2 Arsenics once I get them, but since I've pretty much just started, getting any Arsenics (let alone two) is obviously a long way off.

The point of this deck is to stack crazy poison damage by spamming Poisons and Deathstalkers. And it's relatively effective at doing so, the only problem being that sometimes I'll lose due to not drawing a card I need. And I think that if I reduced the deck size I would get the right cards more. So if anyone could offer advice on what cards I could do without to drop the deck size to 30, I'd really appreciate it.

Also, I don't have any particular enemy level intended for this deck, but if I need to pick, then PvP Lv1.

Thanks in advance for any advice,
                                                       -DR

Cut the number of pillars/pendulums to 12-13
I suggest using only one type of pillar, more reliable.
Then i'd get rid of 3 poisons. There's you deck. :)
If I were you, I'd also get rid of the nightmares for a couple of vampires.
Once you get 2 arsenics, use them instead of the rest of the poisons.

While trimming down your deck is the first priority, I also think it would benefit from some additional stalling power. Deathstalkers can be vicious vs slower decks, but they are not generally fast enough to win the damage race against more rush oriented decks. The deck Sevs offers increases the stalling power by adding vampires, and is definitely an improvement, but when I took it for a test drive against the AI3 I still would get out rushed fairly often. Below is another approach that I've tested a bit vs lvl3. I've liked the "bonewall + 6CC cards" combo ever since playing with bonebolt on team Aether last war, and it seems to do the job here too. It's a bit trickier to play, as bonewalls and drain life both are important to time right. Generally, you want to wait to play your bonewall until you're already almost out of health, so that hopefully you can kill several critters with drain life the same turn you play it. It can also be difficult to judge whether or not to use your drain lifes early to slow down their offense, or save them till you have more quanta to make them more effective and a bonewall up to benefit from the kills. For example, if the opponent has a large number of critters then bonewall will be less effective, so it may be best to drain their largest attackers right away. If the opponent has poison, momentum, or other methods of bypassing the bonewall then you'll often want to play the shield much earlier, so that the shield protects you from regular attackers while your health soaks their poison etc. Choices like these give the deck more of a learning curve, but it's effective once you get the hang of it.
And of course, once you acquire one, this deck benefits a lot from the addition of arsenic, as it both adds more speed and is less likely to be blocked by shields.

Death Reaper’s Deathstalker/Nightfall deck is one of my favorites.  However, he made a few choices I disagree with.  First of all, the deck’s 40 cards, which is nearly impossible with a deck that relies on this important a combo.  Deathstalkers are useless without buffs, so at least 1 Nightfall in play at all times is necessary.  The key cards I’d focus on would be Deathstalkers, Nightfalls, and Cloaks, to protect things.  In addition, I’d add Skull Shield and Arsenic as he gets them.  The deck has too many Death cards to run solely off the mark, so Darkness pendulums and pillars will be necessary.  I’d eventually drop the Poisons and Death Pillars in favor of other cards.  The Siphon Lifes are also unnecessary and cannot be used to their full potential.  Steals are useful in this deck but Nightmares are not.  I’d cut those for size too.  The final deck would look like this below:

Because you're fairly new to the game and probably don't know all the cards well, if you really like poison I might suggest in the future taking a look at Dune scorpion as it can do a lot more damage with poison given time. That being said I'll respond to what you asked for: deck slimming. I'd cut nightmare, it doesn't fit your decks intentions very well. drop a poison or two and a few pillars. Adding cloak could give your deathstalkers some much needed cover as well. Good luck.

1.You searched on forums for help.
2.I like the idea.

You have a lot of quanta, use pendulum-darkness pillar with death mark build, removing the poison.
You know, a long time ago being crazy meant something. Nowadays everybody's crazy.
