I don't know if this topic is more of a game than a Deck Help, but I'll post it here until it is deemed that it should be moved.

I'm currently trying to figure if a Mono Light Stall deck can stand up to a Mono Light Rush deck. However, my stall deck building skills are... lacking. So I request a challenge! People who can build unique deck which can consistently stall out the provided deck gains karma from me.

Your stall deck can only use these cards:
Code: [Select]
6qq 6rm 6rn 6rq 6rs 7jo 7jp 7jq 7js 7jt 7k0 7k2 7k3 7k4 7k6 7kc 7laOf any Mark.
And Stall under the definition that:
1. It does not defeat the opponent by depleting the opponent's HP; a win is only considered if the opponent decks out.
2. the deck size is 30 < x < 36 (for this experiment's purpose, if no deck can be made, then the range may increase).

Consistent under the definition that:
1. An average of .5 (# of wins / # of total games) is optimal, but if your average is different, please don't hesitate to post your deck and average! The point of this experiment is to figure if Mono Light Rush and Stall evenly beat each other out.

The Rush Deck

here is the deck i made, i only tested it once, but it did well for that test, and it didn't have a particularly good beginning anyways.

That rush deck should play dragons instead of shields.
If you want to make this interesting, get shards off the table. Make them use light cards, the result will be funnier.

I would suggest this:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
6rm 6rm 6rm 6rm 6rm 6rm 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rs 7jo 7jo 7jo 7jo 7jo 7jo 7jo 7jo 7jo 7jo 7k2 7k2 7k2 7k2 7k2 7k2 7k6 7k6 7k6 7k6 8pq

Ideas , from best heal to worst

1.Tower Shield: up to 14 points. good. only once. Definitely add this.

2.Miracle + SoD: I think a Miracle + 1 SoD is better than 2 SoGs. These 2 SoGs could heal 10*24=240 HP, but because they arenĀ“t all played in the first turn, they really heal less. Maybe 120 HP. A Miracle heals more than 100 on average and the SoD heals the other 20.

3.SoG: + 5 HP

4.Sanctuary: +4 HP

5.RoL / Hope : ca 1,5 cards for 7 heal max. SoG , Sanctuary is better. Bad idea.

6.Light Dragon + Luciferase + Hope: forget it. Light Dragon can only be played in the last turns.

7. Nymph: 10 Heal, but quanta heavy. Big ? ? ? , if useful

Could make this deck smaller. Is 31 always enough ?.
I won 3 times in a row.

Thanks so much you nerd1 and teffy! (:
Your decks were very helpful in figuring Light's strengths and weaknesses.
I figure that, to attain a balance within the game between different elements, elemets should be able to balance themselves out. Therefore, in this case, a purely Light Rush should only be able to beat a purely Light Stall deck half of the time. With the decks you've created, it seems that Light Stall will always beat out a Light Rush. From this, we can say that Light Rush is not balanced to Light Stall.

I guess the next question should be what kinds of cards does Light need to attain this "balance?"

+Karma to both of you (:

PS: Oh yeah! In terms of "mono" deck, the deck can only hold one of the twelve elements and may have Other cards. We can't just "leave out Shards" for the sake of fun XP Furthermore, Light cannot take out dragons as fast as Pegasuses nor can Dragon damage reach Pegasus damage. Unless the rush deck I made above is not the fastest mono Light rush out there?

Your Light rush doesn't need so much quantum generation, unless there's a more expensive card you want to trade in.  Long Bow instead of Morning Glory with a couple Crusaders would be pretty lethal.

Edited the rush deck with Crusaders, and it works wonders  :)

However, now the AI can't beat it when its using the stall decks ._.

Here's the new rush:

and the modified stall:
