I was fiddling around with a pillarless cremation deck and I have no idea where to continue upgrading.

I think a pillarless CREMATION deck should have at least 2-3 cremations 
Upp a couple of immolations (if not all)... Maybe the deck needs fixing, but I dunno

Yeah, I'm still grinding A13 to get enough electrum to upgrade those Immolations, but should those be my priority?

Since they can be used for the coolest fire-rush decks, yes.
Otherwise, you could try to make yourself a FG grinding deck, but that's up to you...
Anyways, I personally like other kind of decks

I think
1st - Immolations(from 7 to 9 )
2nd - Lava Golems(same cost,but get +2 atk)
3rd - Phoenix(Weaker but Cheaper)
4th - Frog(same cost,but get +2 atk)
5th - Fog or Vamp(Fog:Cost less , Vamp:Cost 2 but get 2+ atk)
6th - Vamp or fog (Fog:Cost less , Vamp:Cost 2 but get 2+ atk)
7th - Sparks(optional)(get +3 atk)
8th - Nova(OPTIONAL!!)(if you upgrade it,change your mark with  )

I don't recommend you to upgrade the sparks, actually your deck could need a strategy change after you upgrade it... I don't know where to start

My Personal Opinion:

1st: Immolations: More quanta equals faster gameplay, more creatures.
2nd: Fog Shield (If you have a bad draw, one of these can save your life, and it only is one upgrade)
3rd: Lava Golems: +2 Damage each, not spectacular, but with 6 upped, it makes a difference.
4th: Horned Frog
5th: Vamp Dagger

I don't think the phoenix needs to be upped for this deck, and if you are at this stage of upgrading, I would go for a FG killer/improved PVP deck rather than upping the sparks.
(Also, if you plan on changing deck, all these cards I have chosen are quite commonly used in other decks, however apart from Immo rushes, there isn't a huge need for 6 Cremations, or 6 Lava Golems)

My upgrade order:

1. Fog Shield ( you can play it with less novas/Immolation, FG decks )
2. 2-3 of the Lava Golems (can also be useful in FG -decks)
3. Frog. (+2 atk, rush decks, frog not so fragile as golems)
4. Immolation (you can play golems faster )
5. rest of the golems. (+2 Atk)

I would change the sparks for Minor Phoenixs, just so you could creamte them, and bring them back.
Upgrade:
-Cremations (all)
-Lava Golems (all)
-Fog sheild
-Novas (Change mark to entropy if so)
-Horned Frog
-Vampire Stilleto
-Sparks just if you don't have a creamtion or have enough quantum for what you already need, just to give a little attack bonus
