I decided that I'd try to build a deck completley by myself and after some testing wound up with a Frogtal-type deck.  Does anybody have some suggestions on how I could make this deck better?

Bit big if you ask me.

Find a strategy that you really like, and thin it down to 30 cards by taking out cards that are unnecessary to your strategy.
