Hi all,

This is the deck that I've created.  I'm sure it's not original, but I couldn't find anything on the forums that did what I wanted.  The idea is to use Cats to power the death effects.  When the cards are right, a pair of cats are usually enough to power the Boneyard, a Bonewall and build up a Vulture for a heavy hitter.

Unfortunately, I've been struggling with working it at level 3.  I win ~90% of the time in level 2.  I'm not sure if I don't have the right combination of cards or if the concept is not really viable.  I currently have 300ish electrum to spend on cards at the moment.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hmm,
Try -3 mutations, -2 plagues, +2 bonewalls, +3 pends, and take a few entropy pillars out

Other than that it looks good :)

Hello, the idea behind this deck is pretty good, but it seems that it's not focused enough.
First off, you are not using cards that take full advantage of the strategy, Vultures can quickly ramp up powered by some cats and Soul Catchers allow for more dragons.
Secondly, the quanta balance is a bit off, you definitely don't need that much entropy quanta.
I ended up with this version of the deck, it has 31 cards to deck out 30 card decks in case you can't seem to find the killing blow:

Of course, the deck can be changed depending on how you like it, but this is a good base.

Howdy  :) and welcome to the forums

Calindu's revision looks pretty good--give that one a whirl see how it treats you. A common pitfall when first designing decks is to want to include EVERYTHING that you can into the deck--but remember that the more cards there are in your deck the less reliable your draws will be.

Unless you're running a pure hardcore stall deck try to limit yourself to 30-32 cards. Anything that isn't directly contributing to your strategy should go.

Question: Why no Boneyard?

Boneyard has different weaknesses than Vulture, and for the most part they're more common. PC, mass-CC and small shields all make the offence of Boneyard completely useless. Additionally, some games it will fill up your field and you won't be able to play higher-impact cards. Graveyard is an enormous improvement and the mass-CC weakness can help feed your BW with either card, so it's an alright replacement for Vulture, but its advantages rarely come into play.

Cat decks can be customized a fair bit. I enjoy a version with Purple Nymphs and Arsenics, for instance. Cal's particular build is good for stallbreaking, but struggles with shields and though it's pretty fast, it could be even faster.

Question: Why no Boneyard?
To add on to what has been said, boneyard rarely sees any real usefulness outside of mirror matches or the rare mass cc heavy deck. 1/1s are just terrible for offensive pressure, and far to easy to stop.
