They arnt really working. https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=20896.msg266314#msg266314

Ive gone through and tried many of the decks that are suppose to be able to grind with AI5s. For all intents and purposes they have a setup theyre all going for that leaves them pretty much open to pain if the draws arnt perfect. Ive played 10 games each with the top three decks chosen for halfblood grinding and my win percentages is below 50 (I won 11 of those 30 games) Maybe Im just not using them correctly, but all of them dont really fit my general play style.

This is the deck Ive been using to grind against AI3s. Are there any short changes I can make to it that would allow me to take on halfbloods?

btw I dont know if its just the preview but those ? ? ? are a  :fire

It's hard to fight the AI5 unupped. A pure rush or a rush with some CC can work, but you're looking at many losses also. I'm not a fire player, but the way to fix it is usually: ''Add shielding and healing.'' People usually have some attackers and CC in the deck already, so that is not a problem. That may put the deck on 34-35 cards, but usually you will live.

So far I'm not getting your deck. It has 5 dragons, so it is probably kind of slow. Lava golem rush is probably faster. I don't know if this is the best bet against AI5. If you have to add healing there it's the same problem.

Check the mono fire section thorougly. If you cannot get what you need there, you may need a duo. I've already seen a deck with bucklers and sog's there.

Sorry I don't have a clear answer in the fire section, maybe someone else. I always thought unupped mono aether is your best bet. Otherwise time, (eternity + scorp or pharaoh) mono water (shards/shield) or voodoo is really strong against AI5, but probably upped.
Shards aren't overpowered, as long as you have them yourself.

My deck really doesnt have a point, but it pwns AI3 something funny (easily over 85% win rate). I have a couple SoG so Ill try to incorporate those into the deck. Thank you.

You can say that, but yes, your deck has a point. Many high cost hitters, many pillars, and some deflags/CC's. It's fine for AI3. AI5 can make short work of those dragons, if you bring them out in time that is. If you find many of them dying you might want to play some cheap units early to take the hits. I'm not sure, but they're only 8 attackers and with such low HP. You can also take 1 or 2 dragons out and cut some pilllars. Gives more room for creatures and healing.

Anyway yw and gl. Keep the 6 spells in, then you have some CC and PC.

Shards aren't overpowered, as long as you have them yourself.

What upped card do you have and how much :electrum have you got? I'll make the best suggestion I can with what u've got.

BTW to fix the mark go into the deck code and where it says [deck mark=MARK author=gavsword] change the MARK -> whatever you want the mark to be (obviously fire here)

Basically add some SoG's and run more rage potions, bolts and fire shield over dragons.

One duo that's quite effective against half bloods just uses dim shields and stalls out the ai until u have enough fire quanta to finish with 6 bolts and fahrenheit
